The Top 3 after 7 countries:

1. Norway - 69 (why?)

2. UK - 37 (yay!)

3. Turkey - 36

I think Norway will win this, even after 10 countries. I disagree big time, as it wasn't a great song.

its one you can get hooked on, its happy music, and actualy norway won with such a song before

and frankly it speaks towards what eurovision used to be, it turned into too much a pop cometition lately...before i lost interest it was mainly songs who had distinct influence of their nationals culture... some of this was lost and i lost interest, because if i wanted to hear regular music i could turn on the hitlists..

so while it anoys me at times, then yeah the song i recognise it as great, its a catchy tune, easy on the ear and it sticks on your brain very easily...so to that extent i agree...and hey will be double cause for celebration tomorow for us then ;)

And the top 3 after 13 countries:

1. Norway - 135

2. Iceland - 59

3. Azerbaijan - 56

Due to no commercial break in the UK, we've just witnessed a folk version of t.A.T.u.'s Not Gonna Get Us. Very interesting...

Oh, and Norway are now uncatchable with 9 countries left to go. We are off to Oslo for 2010 and Eurovision.

2 sets of 12 points for Moldova...interesting vote at the end of the contest!

Oh dear, oh dear, Mr Slovenia vote man! We didn't need half a minute silence for Slovenia's failure.

So, the winning country hosts the competition in the following year? Thats kinda cool actually.

And yes, the winning country does host the contest the next year. It hasn't been the case all the time since the beginning of the contest though.

Ja vi elsker dette landet som det stiger frem....*hums on*

and its not sure it would be in oslo by what they are saying, though considering we wasted loads of money on a new opera it would be odd if they didnt argue we should use it, though we have other big cities with history etc

I just picked the capital!  ;)

And here is Norway with the last set of votes...

So the winner is Norway! So congratulations to them and their record points score that will probably never be broken!

I'll get the final scores up shortly when I find them on the Eurovision Website.

I had Sweden, Norway or Azerbaijan as potential winners, so I am at least pleased with the winner. And thank goodness none of the big ballads won!

Absolutely shocking though that Sweden got so few votes. Shame on you, Europe.
