Mazrim Taim turned?

why?

... because infiltrating enemy organizations is generally useful?  Because it provided a chance to get one of the Forsaken close to Rand without Rand suspecting?

Taim being a DF ( at least ), its not much of an enemy organization?  And just pointing this out, Taim wasn't that thrilled when Rand picked him, and it didn't seem like Dashiva cared all that much.  When he was picked he wasn't really presenting himself, or pushing his name forward or anything like that.  And there was no way of knowing at the time that Dashiva entered the black tower he would be picked for an escort for Rand.

But why would a forsaken be placed under Taim?

Taim was sent because the Shadow knew Rand would know he had experience in the Power. Meaning Taim would end up teaching

And there was no way of knowing at the time that Dashiva entered the black tower he would be picked for an escort for Rand

Dashiva was sent to keep an eye on Rand yet the Shadow indeed could never know Rands Ta'veren pull made him pick a disguised Forsaken without looking at who he was pointing at. The fact that Taim tries persuading him to take someone else-more specifically, another Darkfriend-to me screams even more that Taim knew exactly who Dashiva was and knew he had more important things to do. You can watch someone without being with them 24/7. The reason Taim was surprised when Dashiva attacked Rand was because of the no-kill order.

Actually, it makes more sense that Taim prefers Rand to take someone other than Dashiva because he doesn't know who Dashiva really is and wants to make sure one of his DF underlings can keep an eye on Rand.

The reason Taim was surprised?  Because he had no idea that Dashiva was a DF at the least, let alone one of the Forsaken...

Hmm I disagree on this one, I just cant see how Taim doesnt know about one of the Chosen right under his nose. Remember, Taim is no ordinary Darkfriend. Nah, I reckon Taim always knew who he was

This doesnt make sense with what happened in the book. Taim was surprised when Rand said Dashiva had attacked him; Rand didnt say anything that revealed Dashiva as a Forsaken because he didnt know himself. How would Taim be surprised, and pull out of the air that Dashiva was Forsaken?

If Taim was a Darkfriend, Osangar (Corlan Dashiva) might have revealed to him (Taim) that he (Osangar) was a Forsaken

Look at the scene in Crown of Swords when Taim is insisting that Rand has a full Ashaman with him. Rand tries declining, Taim pushes him, and then Rand picks one without looking-Dashiva. And when Rand picked Dashiva, Taim tried to convince Rand to take one of the other Darkfriend Ashaman like Rochaid instead.

Taim didnt want Dashiva to go with Rand, because Taim knew who he was.

Yet when Rand requested that Dashiva be added to the list of deserters, Taim was surprised.

Then again, both these scenes could point either way.

* spoiler * think the last page of KoD proves he's a DF - AS the old saying goes

That scene also could point either way.

Have you seen any one but the forsaken use the term?

I never said Taim knew Dashiva was Forsaken.  What I was saying was that if Taim didn't know that Dashiva was of the DO's persuasion then he'd be surprised that Dashiva took part in the attack.  If Taim thought he knew who the DFs were, finding out Dashiva was too would be a big shocker.

I just cant see how Taim doesnt know about one of the Chosen right under his nose.

The same way as RAW points out Delana didn't know about Halima.
