I today's action Sammy took the spin outta ZZ Top, and Nickelback riots all over Guns N Roses, While Alice in Chains left Stevie Ray Vaughn down in a hole.  In the final action of the day, and a mild surprise to me, the Beatles brought Bon Jovi in dead, not alive.

Nickelback over GNR?  :-\  Both are great, but wow, I wasn't expecting that! Hmmmmm, other knockouts look good. This is going to get really interesting for the next round!  :)

Yeah the fiasco with Chinese Democracy has probably hurt GNR some. 

 

In today's action Aerosmith was given Cat Scratch Fever by the Nuge, 11th seed underdog Daughtry got rocked by Def Leppard, and 6th ranked CCR unseated 3rd ranked Green Day.  In the final action of the day, powerhouses Led Zeppelin and ACDC squared up and it was the Highway to Hell over the Stariway to Heaven.

Down from the original 64, down from 32.  Who will come out on top of the sweetmeat 16?  With our underdogs Daughtry and REO Speedwagon out of the competition, our lowest ranked competitor(And the only one to knock out a number 1 seed thus far) is Van Halen at #8.

Some interesting events today...With Ozzy biting the heads off of The Who, and Nirvana being shown the Doors, Skynard took out Queen with Mr Saturday Night Special, and our surprise underdog REO Speedwagon had to roll with the Changes thanks to Eric Clapton.

Hmmm, this is getting really interesting.  The best looking matchup to me is the Metallica/Beatles battle. 

 

Some good eliminations there!

Ok finishing of our round of 32, Rush moved on With or Without U2. 

 

In the first bouts of the Sweetmeat 16 our low seed, (8)Van Halen, has done it again, Leaving Nickelback as nothing but a Photograph, Pink Floyd put the final Brick in the Wall against Alice in Chains, and Metallica sent the Beatles off in a Yellow Submarine. 

 

Will AC DC be the next group to unseat a number 1 seed?  Keep checking back to find out.  ;)

Oh snap!!!  We are down to only two number one picks as Sammy is dethroned by ACDC.  In other action Def Leppard shut the Doors, and CCR saw the Bad Moon Rising in Lynard Skynard.

We get to the sweetelite 8.  Who will move on.  Can Van Halen continue it's run by toppling Ozzy, will Pink Floyd or Def Leppard move on, in the 1-2 battle does Metallica or Lynard Skynard come out on top, and will ACDC take down it's opponent(Undecided Clapton vs Rush)?

 

You'll have to wait and see.   ;)

Muahahahaha!! At last CCR was taken down by someone after taking out two other good bands.  Hmmmm....Skynard vs. Metallica......that should be interesting, though for me it is a no brainer and Metallica would be moving on if it were my band elimination game. Van Halen and Ozzy looks a bit promising too.

Narrowing the field down to the final four, the upsetter Van Halen was finally put down by Ozzy, Pink Floyd went armageddon all over Def Leppard, Metallica stole the crown from Lynard Skynard, and ACDC Thunderstruck Rush.

Drawing down to the final four the action became heated.  After an early lead by Pink Floyd, Ozzy showed why he is the Prince of Darkness. 

 

On the other side megastar pummeler ACDC matched up against old roots rediscovering Metallica, which turned out to be thier Cyanide.

Through a flurry of online and text voting teh matchup changed leads repeatedly until the winner finally pulled away near the end.

That was an awesome final 4, except for Pink Floyd, but all in all it was a great Bandness thing and some great matchups!  Thanks for keeping it updated throughout this whole thing Sam!
