Character Name: Daemon Rakewind

DM Handle: Wretched Chaos

Email: asg92[at]rogers[dot]com

Physical Description:

Age: 19, Weight: 175lb. Height: 5'10"

Daemon has green/brown eyes (hazel) and extremely dark brown hair that grows very quickly. One week after a hair cut, his hair would be able to grow back to a normal amount.

Daemon has one large scar across his chest, from an initiation rite from his gang. It's in the shape of an eye, which was the signature of their gang (will explain later in bio). He also has a nose that is crooked from being broken several times. His body is muscled, but not heavily. He has the muscle of a slightly more then average person, owing to his gang.

Daemon is not the friendliest person in the world. He is a complete narcissist, and believes he is the Light's gift to mankind. He's very proud, but most of that is false. He comes across as a snob, and doesn't get along well with many people, mainly those who let him believe he's superior to them.

Place of Birth/Raising: Amador, Amadicia

Character History: Daemon Rakewind was born Cristoph Alrudin to Dein, and Marie Alrudin, in a moderately successful merchant's home. He was taught how to read at a small age, and became enamored with stories of the Age of Legends. He instantly fell in love with the idea of becoming a hero in his own right, to save the world from the Dark One, and his hordes. But his parents shot down his ideas as quickly as they could grow. When he asked his father to teach him how to fight, Dein replied by ignoring and trying to teach him the trades business. When he asked his mother to buy him a sword, she ignored him and tried to buy him an apprenticeship to a well-known goldsmith. He became bitter, and ran away from home, hoping to make his way in the world, and become a legend. He soon ended up on the streets of Amador, penniless, and filthy, eating scraps from inns. He became gaunt, his face drawn, and weak. He attempted to go back to his parents' home, but they refused him entry, and denied him being their son. They stripped him of his name, and he went back to the streets. He finally collapsed in an alley, and believed he was going to die from starvation, before he finally passed out. Thus ended his first twelve years of life, and began the next chapter.

Daemon woke up in a small room, on a pallet, covered in blankets. He believed he was dead, and that this was the afterlife. He stood up, or rather tried to, because he was still weak, and his legs wouldn't support him. Three men entered the room, and Daemon wondered who they were. He found out that the street gang known as the Watchers had rescued him. He also found that the leader of the Watchers had an affinity for children, and when he came upon Daemon, he decided to rescue him from his fate. Daemon inquired as to who they were, and found that he had been rescued by the most powerful gang in Amadicia. The gang members then asked who he was, and remembering that he no longer had a name, came up with one that he had heard of in a Legend. Daemon Rakewind. And that is how he came upon his name. The gang fed him, and clothed him, and offered him a position at the bottom of the organization. Having no family to go to, Daemon graciously accepted. They taught him how to pickpocket, break into houses, pick locks, and most importantly how to fight. He proved to be a quick learner, especially with thieving, and lockpicking which his quick and agile hands were adept at accomplishing, and so he rose through the ranks quickly.. He became the leader of a cell, in three years, burgeoning respect, and also blowing up his pride and arrogance that one so young, could move so high so quick. But then the Children of the Light began cracking down on the gang. Arresting members left, right, and center. Their identities were being leaked by informants, and the Head Watcher gave the task of rooting out the traitors to Daemon. He and his cell proved adept at finding them, capturing seven of them in two years. He questioned them thoroughly, not above torture, to figure out who knew what, and then to finally kill them by letting them go. They would run, and Daemon and his team would follow, to see where they went. Every single one of them, to a man, would go to a single Child of the Light's house. And to a man, he and his team would sneak inside, and knife them, before they could spill any information. Finally, two years later, when the Children had lost all of their informants, The Head Watcher decided to take his Inner Circle to pay a visit to the Child who was running the informants. His Inner Circle consisted of: Daemon, and a fellow gang member, Harel Kohn. They snuck into the house, and crept silently up the stairs. They all drew their blades and opened the single door at the top of the stairs. They jumped inside and were completely surprised at what they saw. Five armed Children of the Light, waiting with blades drawn and clever looks on their faces. They jumped on the Head Watcher, and stabbed him, killing him quickly. They also managed to take down Harel, but not before he shoved his blade in one of the Children's throats. Another one leaped at Daemon, but he evaded the attempted slash, and shoved his blade up to the hilt in the Child's belly. He turned and ran down the stairs and out the building, keeping to alleyways and dark corners, before he came to a safe house. He called the cell leaders to him, and told them of the deaths of the Head Watcher, and Harel. The cell leaders did not believe Daemon's story, and they threatened to kill him if he did not leave the gang immediately. They believed he had killed the Head Watcher and Harel. So Daemon ran again, only this time to the Children of the Light. Not to tell them of his crimes, but to join their ranks, and get revenge on his former gang members. He knew that the Children in the room would not know who he was, because it had been dark in the room, and they couldn't have seen his face. He also joined because of his belief that he was going to conquer the Shadow, and what better place to do it then from the Children of the Light?
