what CAN you do with a basket of figs and a few mice?

In FoH when Nynaeve and Elayne gets cauhgt forkroot-tea, Juilin threatens a woman just by talking about rope, boiling oil and salt.

 

when Elayne ask about it he says that what they thought up was worse than anything he could do and mentions how a tough man broke down just by juilin asking for a basket of figs and a few mice, and Elayne wonders what you can do with that.

 

anyone got any ideas of how you can use figs and mice for torture?

What came to mind for me was mashing up the figs into a paste. Then applying said fig paste to a part of the body and letting the mice go to town on it. The dude may also have had a irrational fear of mice. Maybe putting the paste under nails and the mice can start chewing in that area.

Put the basket of figs upside down on the persons stomach with the mice trapped under it so they have to chew their way out.

Shard and Kovan seem to have good ideas on how.

Other possibilities:

-Use the figs and mice to hypnotize the person.

-Sprinkle the figs over the person and placing the mice on top.

-Specially trained mice

If you had someone who didn't like figs, but was an animal lover, you could force him to eat the figs, and smash the little mouse brains out against the wall.

 

You could play a game of what can we fit more of into each body cavity.

 

1984 style, you put a cage around the persons head, put the mice inside. Then you eat the figs and wait for him to talk.

 

Or you force him to eat the figs, and you use the mice to provide a blockage at the other end.

 

Or you juggle the figs and mice in order to distract him, and then ask questions.

 

If all else fails, just give up on the rodents and fruit and skip to the kneecapping.
