Legend of the Seeker

I'm not even sure if this topic is allowed, but if you don't know "Legend of the Seeker" is the live-action mini-series for Terry Goodkind's Wizard's First Rule. I'm not going to provide any links but google it and you can go on its official website and see a trailer.

 

I wanted to know people's thoughts about this AND PLEASE don't make this a Goodkind vs. RJ thread! I just want to read people's reactions about this.

Battousai - I saw the trailer last weekend when I was digging around for information on the new series, and on one hand, I'm excited to see one of my favorite series' come to life on screen (although I think it would have been better to do on HBO/Showtime), on the other hand I was not 'super' impressed with the trailer I saw.  I'm hoping they pull it off well, but only time will tell.  On the bright side, this is the only way I can get my other half to get into one of the series' that I love. 

 

He's into Harry Potter right now, but won't read the books, he just waits patiently for each movie to come out.  That would drive ME crazy.

I saw earlier this spring that they were making a tv show of Wizard's First Rule. I'm still not sure how I feel about it; guess I'll have to watch it and decide then. Anyone know anything more about when it is coming out other than 'fall 2008'? I've been searching and can't find anything less vague.

Really? I stopped reading Goodkind after the third book. Wasn't a bad series at all, I might have to re-read it...... if a certain other author dodn't write such a fantastic and fucund series I am re-reading. Be sure to put up a review in the Seanchan board when it comes on. TV loves to do "fantasy" stories dirty, tho.
