Horror in the Black Hills

Visar and Dante are attacked by armed bandits in the remote Black Hills. Outnumbered, they struggle to survive fire, smoke, steel, dogs, hunger, the terrain, and being severely wounded in the process.  They are rescued from a last stand battle and recover from their wounds.

Weapon Score 10 to 11: complete two reqs

Req 1: Bruising Time, complete.

Lessons Learned the Hard Way

Visar spars Kynwric without being able to land a blow.  He learns that patience in fighting is something that he still struggles with.

(almost ready to start the second req which will be a Create Your Own, putting this one up for now)

Background thread, involving my alt and a TTPC, found here for your viewing pleasure.

Req 2: Create Your Own, req 5 posts complete (second thread not finished yet)

In Search of a Killer

Visar's criminal past catches up to him.  A vengeful nobleman, Kivyl Pelory (TTPC played by Sangreal) hires a thief catcher (Jural Mirado, played by me) to track down Visar's steps to Tar Valon.

Solving Problems with Violence

Lord Pelory declared a bounty on Visar's head.  Once this strategy did not work, Pelory himself comes to Tar Valon to draw Visar out from the Tower's protection and deal out his "justice".  Visar, with the help of friends (Sandre, Dante, possibly Thera and Shawn), confronts Kivyl and fights a duel with him.

Weapon Score 11 to 12: complete two Reqs.

Req. 1 Wake Up Call, complete.

A Different Perspective, Part 1

Visar travels with Sandre Kaldun to his family manor in the Borderlands in the fall, to train and serve in the Shienaran military for a year.  Here, they both train at the manor in various martial arts.  Visar meets and is tempted by the beautiful Lyse Kaldun.

A Different Perspective, Part 2

Visar and Sandre put their training experience to the test in a Shienaran tournament at Fal Dara.  While neither of them win first place in any event, they both do reasonably well in the different events against equals and betters.  Visar finally decides to remain faithful to his oaths to serve the Tower, and he ultimately rejects Lyse's courting.

Req 2: Longest Yard, required 5 posts complete, thread unfinished.

A Day of Painful Discovery

Visar, searching for ways to better his skills, learns from Cairma about the discipline Ren'Shai.  While struggling greatly to land any hits against the skilled blademaster in sparring exercises, Visar does learn that fighting through pain is a useful tool to use.  They train with each other most of the day, taking breaks to eat, drink, and socialize.

Not sure if these count, but I wasn't sure how else to use them to fulfill reqs.

Weapon Score 12 to 13: Complete 2 Reqs.

Req. 1: General Elective 1, Growth, complete.

Warders in my head

Visar has an argument with his fellow Warder Dante, and after a mutual apology, Visar learns to accept a different viewpoint as to how to best protect their Aes Sedai (being a bodyguard/Visar vs. having a spy network and having plans for every situation/Dante).

Req. 2: General Elective 2, Shattering Myths, complete.

Depression and Life

Visar learns the true difficulty of being a Warder.  Not only must he and Dante be concerned about how to protect their Aes Sedai from external threats, but he must learn how to help Rasheta with her depression, which almost cost her her life.  Sometimes an Aes Sedai is their own worst enemy, and a Warder must do their best to protect her when such a situation calls for it.  Also, the nature of Visar and Dante's feelings towards Rasheta (and vice versa) are finally established, after each warder having misunderstood the other's (a myth of sorts).

Hopefully those count for something.

Weapon Score 13 to 14, Complete 2 Reqs.

Req 1: Training Trainees, complete

A.

I suppose if I have to decide...

Visar takes trainee Adela to the armory to select her weapons. Option for her WS advancement (weapon selection and care).

B. We Take Up the Dagger!

Visar mercilessly instructs trainee Adela on basic dagger defense. Option for her WS advancement (elective: training in secondary/tertiary weapon, or her primary weapon I forget which).

Req 2: Leadership, complete.

Casualties of War  Visar and his comrade Sandre both lead Shienaran/Andoran soldiers in a campaign to defend a part of Shienar from the shadow.  Visar leads a small unit of infantry, from their first 'blooding' to their last stand.  The fighting is brutal, and in the last battle Visar leads several men in a charge to help take out a Myrdraal in order to disable the trolloc force that attacked them.

Finally!

Weapon Score 14 to 15: complete two Requirements

Intrigue in Murandy

Visar Falmaien, taking a leave of absence from his Aes Sedai, journeys with Kathleen and Gera Sedai in their efforts to prevent a war between two feuding nobles in Murandy. Frustrated by the way things were going, Visar briefly abandons the cause completely, only to rejoin the party after seeing the threat of assassins. Fighting the assassins to save the envoy and the Lord's son, and aiding the envoy in completing their mission of peace, Visar decides to rededicate himself to the Tower, to Rasheta Sedai, and to his own self confidence and value. This is a Choose Your Own RP, and had help from Freelanders who helped write TTPC bios in the thread.

Heart of the Heron

Visar Falmaien completes the Blademaster ceremony, reuniting with his Aes Sedai after his Murandy trip, and fighting ferociously with Master at Arms Kalan. The two almost kill each other, but the Council decides to award Visar the right to bear the Heron Mark. This is the Blademaster Ceremony Requirement.

Assisting others. Visar helps with Rekinu's intro thread

Thread 2:

A Return

Duty choice. Many times before Visar has been tempted or drifted away from his duties to the White Tower. Here, after a 'vacation' to conclude affairs with his family, he is reunited with his Aes Sedai and decides once and for all his destiny as a Warder
