Speaking of Elyas, I wonder what's going to happen with him in AMoL. I would love it if he met up with Rina again.

Ya that would be pretty interesting to see especially with all his exp with wolves.

Since the escape from the White Tower that Elyas made included killing other warders, it could be interesting indeed. We are not told whether Rina tried to find Elyas, nor whether she found another warder. Because of the bond she would know roughly where Elyas is at any time. We are also not told about the warders that Elyas killed: was Waylin one of them? It is possible that---with both Perrin and Elyas being wolf-brothers---the White Tower may come to realize the mistake that to this mess, tho' it is hard to see the Red Ajah acknowledging their role, esp. with Tsutama as the head thereof.

I have always very much assumed that at some point in time, Elyas and Rina will come face to face - or face to muzzle - again.

 

Otherwise, I cannot see a major purpose for Elyas in the story after his initial tutelage of Perrin.

Ya i have to agree with you the best thing it seems he has done so far is to tell perrin about failes weird expectations.  Maybe Robert Jordan brought him back into the story line for that purpose or maybe he has more stuff to do.  Like be perrins only wolf general or something.
