Hi,

I have been reading WoT since 1998, I just finished my 5th read through of the series.  I notice something new every time I reread them.

About me:  I am from east Texas, 28 years old, a military veteran, married, father of 2 girls.  The oldest is 4 and the youngest is 10 months.  I enjoy hunting, fishing, football, reading, computers, and video games.  I work offshore on an Oil Rig in the Gulf of Mexico, I am an Electronics Technician.  I like to meet new people and discuss just about anything that doesn’t touch on my religion, or politics.

[move]Nice to meet you all.[/move]

What's up man.  Welcome to the circus.  I'm JD. and I'm entirely created from tiny flecks of awesome.  It's good to have you here.  I'm currently residing in east Texas, it's wicked down here btw.  Ya'll should do something about that if you want to keep having guests like myself.  Anyway, poke around the boards, enjoy yourself, and when Barmacral show's up to greet you pretend at least that he's funny.  It makes him happy.

JD,

Hi, I live on the other side of the World, somewhere in the European Union, in a country you probably never ever heard of.  But I have the Knife of Dreams at my bed, have read it several times.  I only re-read the entire series when KoD came out, to better understand it.  I keep the last book at my bed so that it remains fresh until MoL comes out next year.

RJ reaches us all, his magic lives on in our hearts.  I wonder when a major movie will be produced form this saga.

gfinaczy,

Nice to meet you!  You would be suprised about the humber of european countries that I have heard of so try me :-)  You should do a slow read through of the series again before AMOL comes out.  I just finished the series for the 5th time 2 days a go, and I plan on starting it again in a few months I am convinced that if I read it enough I will figure out some of the stuff that RJ said should have been obvious for us.

:) From one Vet to Another, Welcome wconn1979, and thank you for your service!

I've only read the series twice, but then I'm ten years behind everybody else, so I don't feel too bad!  ;D

I'm about to start my third reread, in preparation for AMoL, in about a month or so. *nods*

I know what you mean about the discussion. When I was in the service we spent long boring mid-shifts talking about anything and everything but politics and religion. Those two subject we left alone! *nods*

I think you'd enjoy meeting my fellow Ogier. Come by and visit us!  :)

And from yet another vet and Texan to another - howdy!  I'm formerly of the USAF, and formerly of the States too; I immigrated to England last year :)

There's loads to do around this site, from general discussion, to communities (orgs) based loosely around the various groups in the books, to the best and most-hidden section - the role-play!  Scroll all the way down and come visit if you're so inclined.

Otherwise, see you around the site!
