Civil War Mafia: The Abolitionists Are Coming! Game Over!

For obvious reasons, I think we should probably not speculate too much on last night. No use looking a gift horse in the mouth, as it were. Keeping the speculation alive serves us better than narrowing down the possiblities.

I think we would be well served to puzzle out what the eavesdropper role might have been (based on the "little girl" role?) and try to see what other roles might fit into this pattern.

As soon as I saw that bcx had been replaced, I immediately thought he was probably mafia - it's not that often that an innocnet role is important enough to replace, and a modkill might have been effectiv in getting people to participate more. But we can't know for sure, so let's just keep our eyes on Blig.

I'm pretty much sold on Dude being mafia. As soon as Loki pointed out his slip, he stopped fighting and switched gears to sympathy mode, which is as classic mafia as it gets. But - and this has nothing to do with dude or his behavior - I still can't believe that there would be a Kivam/Sirayn/Dude mafia team and that they would go down this fast. I have thought about the possibility that he has a solo-win role and decided to jump in early with a false finder claim because he has some wacky power that allowed him to see that Jelly was a wonky finder. It would also explain how he knew that Kivam was a turncoat and explain his slip. I'll have to look back to see what the actual role is called, but there is a finder who can only see roles, not aligments, and it would be an awesome power for an evil solo-win role.

I'm just speculating on that, but it's the best I have so far.

Having said all of that, he has not really helped anybody in the game and has pretty much been a source of confusion. I'll wait to see what what everybody has to say this morning, but I'm cool with lynching him.

I did say I was going to wait to see what everyone else has to say - no point in getting in a rush if someone else has spotted something.

And here's he funny part - I really do feel a little bad about it! And if it turns out that you are innocent again, you could wear a "I am mafia" avy in the next game and I won't vote for you.

But, for now, I gotta go with the evidence. 'Cause that's what lynches lying liars that lie.

Yeah, and Dude is building up his reveal so well and all.

Should we be ready to be amazed? heh

i appreciate the sentiment, jelly, self-serving though it may be.  :)

y'know, my problem, in mafia and probably in real life, and i'm sure no one here will disagree, is that i just talk to damned much.  :P  my verbiosity just leaves you mafia punks room to twist my words.

If you are going to amaze us, please do it before I have to go to work in 20 minutes.....

I have my reservations about taking down theDude... and yet Lynch All Liars is fairly uncompromising. It seems to make the most sense - if you are indeed innocent, then it's an object lesson not to make that slip again. If you are guilty, so be it and strategy proved correct again.

And tell me, theDude, what did you get for a viewing last night? (and i'm meaning either innocent or guilty, no naming names if they are innocent - according to you ;))

care to explain that, daet?  you, loki and DPR were all pretty hot to string me up a couple days ago.  why the change of heart?

you'll pardon me for not going along blindly here, but i'm having a hard time not feeling reticent.

That's a weird backtrack?

And, I will be sorely dissapointed if you wait till you know I am gone to post. That's just wrong....or contrived. meh

i just want to see some more faces, is all, D.  i like big parties, what can i say?

and all due respect, but i find that, given our "relationship" this game, i am able to bear your the thought of your discomfort with great fortitude.  8)

Reticence fading fast the more you annoy me by not posting Dude...

The reasoning i am not yet voting is there is a good argument for not lynching you. And yet the evidence is still damning. I did say i'd wait till i saw the Finder viewings, and that was the primary reason for eventually not voting for Jelly yesterday - i aint going to vote for you untill i know what night actions you had

i get what you guys are saying, but i have good reasons for going about things as i am.  and i'm not sure i trust you or not, daet, so again, pardon me for not acquiescing to your demands.  ;)

It would hardly aid me as Mafia if you post your revelation early or late...

Of course if you had found an innocent one hopes one wouldn't be foolish enough ot post the exact player - but i expect it to be something of a more revelatory nature...

heh. I'm out, so whatever foolishness you are up to will have to wait a little while for me to respond to.

But I'll leave with this: there is no reason to wait to reveal good information. Obviously there is some plan at work here, and I'll not be surprised if it calls for some revelation against Loki, Luthine, or myself. I can't see beating the Jelly drum anymore, but that could be coming as well.

Keep it in between the lines. I'll be back later.

Precisely. The late Finder claim started the lack of revelation and it appears to be continuing excessively. Someone's planning everything, and i don't like dancing to any one's tune
