I know I will get alot of grief about this but here it is. Should AMOL be done  at all. I know RJ's wife was his editor and all but no one has RJ's talent or love for the series so should it be left alone so us fans will not be mad that it was poorly done.

I would honestly rather have even a mediocre approximation of RJ's vision for AMOL than nothing at all.  Besides, to get Harriet and TOR's approval for release, we can be assured the story will be pretty darn close to what RJ intended.

I agree. :)

After 14 years of reading them I'll take any kind of closure...even so, I still think it will be fine, especially with Harriet doing all the editing.

I agree.  This is an Epic tale that must be finished.  It might not turn out exactly as RJ would have written it, but I agree with one of the other posters in that it will be a decent approximation.  He has told the story to Harriet and Wilson and has left copious notes.  It should be fine.

Even just the main plotline would be good IMO. Example, Mat and Tuon ally the Seanchan to Rand, Rand rallies borderlands to him, Rand/Logain destroys Taim and gets the BT under control, BT goes crazy making gateways all over randland to assemble the forces in Illian, Lan reaches tarwins gap, MILLIONS OF TROLLOCS/DARKHOUNDS/DREADLORDS...etc., and Rand's army gets there just as they are about to break the lines of Lan's.

Now here's a scary thought - what if who-killed-Asmo is one secret RJ took to his grave? I don't think he saw it as plot-essential - maybe he never passed that on, and even now is smiling mischievously down at us while plinking his harp and murmuring 'the clues are there'..?

I think it would be funny if this happened:

Cadsuane looked out at the bustling city square, tired and happy. It looked as though the boy had done it, saved the world. "I killed Asmodean", said a voice behind her and she whirled around. "and I have come to kill you!" The black-cloaked figure, tall and hooded, finished. She recognized the face as balefire flashed towards her.
