I've been looking for a thread that asks whether or not Noal is Jain Farstrider, but i haven't so...is he?

he is. I think it was said in either the 10th or 11th. but he is. i know for sure. but i forgot which book.

It is never stated flat out that he is, but the hints are so strong the chances of Noal being the cousin he claims to be in KOD are pretty gosh darn small.

I predict he will die in the rescue of Moraine, or soon after, and when Mat sounds the Horn of Valere, Farstrider will be one of the heroes that answers the call.

I agree.  Although the "official" word, from Noal's mouth at least, is that he's a cousin, that seems a very fishy story. Like has been stated in other threads, he knows why too much about Farstrider's exploits. Also, to me it seems like he has way too much bitterness for someone who is just a cousin. It feels more like a personal bitterness to me.
