Apearance: Long wavy brown hair with natural blonde highlights. Light bluish green eyes, slender build, tall (5'11"), a big smile that tends to light up any room she's in.

Personality: Bubbly.

Biography: Eleanor has led a relatively simple life. Her father is a traveling scholar, visiting the great libraries of every Major kingdom. By virtue of this lifestyle, Eleanor as used to traveling as anyone could be, whether by horseback, carriage, foot or sea, she's done it all. And she's seen it all too. despite her young age, she's seen the palaces of every major king and queen, and is well versed in the proper way one should act before them.

Eleanor never knew her mother. At the age of 14 she lost her innocence to the eldest son of a Domani Lord. Eventually they were caught by her father, who simply asked that she meet him by the fountain in the courtyard.

Eleanor pulled the richly embroidered house coat tightly around her shoulders as she stepped into the courtyard. The silver glow of the full moon suffused everything in sight with a rich platinum glow. She shuffled over the polished stones in borrowed slippers towards the fountain, her heart beating faster with every dragging step. She couldn't believe her father had caught them doing that. The embarassment over the entire ordeal had caused her face to turn a brilliant shade of red.

Slowly she approached the edge of the fountain, circling it until she was at the opposite side. Her father sat on a low stone bench off to the side turning something she couldn't identify slowly in his hands, over and over. He didn't look up as she approached, and her heart twisted hard upon itself. She had truly dissappointed him, and she hated herself for it.

Forcing her quivering lip to be still, she summoned up the firmest voice she could muster. "F-father?"

His eyes lifted slowly from the object in his hands and a sad smile crossed his face. "Come, sit next to me Eleanor." She obliged, her entire body shivering in fear. The seconds seemed to stretch into hours as her feet shuffled hesitantly towards the bench. Her pulse was pounding in her ears, and she sat reluctantly, afraid of what her father would say. She wasn't sure why, but she was certain that she'd done something wrong.

"Papi," she started weakly, her voice squeaking.

"Eleanor. Did I ever tell you that I knew your mother when I was a child? We grew up together."

Confusion blazed on Eleanor's face. Her father had never really spoken of her mother. All she could do was stare as he continued.

"We loved each other dearly, your mother and I. But she was of low birth, the daughter of a whore, and being groomed for the trade. I used to sneak out of the house to play with her when I was younger... and as time went by we grew more and more attached. I wanted to take her away from the life that was being planned for her. And she... she wanted to run away with me. She promised that she would do whatever it took to be with me... that she would not become a whore like her mother. My family had other ideas. When I was 14 and she 12, my parents saw fit to send me off to a prestigious academy in Cairhien. I was shuffled off before I could say goodbye." The pain in her father's eyes made Eleanor hurt even more inside.

"I wrote her as soon as I could, paying extra to see that the letters were delivered directly to her hands. I wrote her every week. In six years I only recieved one reply, towards the end of my final year at the academy. All that it said was, 'Forget about me.. Like I've forgotten about you.'" Her father's voice cracked as he said that, and Eleanor's hand wrapped around him by its own volition. After a few moments, he continued.

"I left that night. Left Cairhien. I just ran. Ran until I couldn't run anymore, and then I collapsed. I don't remember much of what happened after that. Most of it's a blur. I do remember falling in with some bad folk. Before I knew it I was learning the sword, the knife, the bow... and I was fighting all the time. I would drag myself from tavern to tavern, starting and finishing one brawl after another. I didn't care who I hurt. All I cared was that I shared my pain with others. It was... extremely selfish. This continued for quite some time. Nearly a year and a half went by before I began to become myself again. But by then it was too late." She felt him shudder beneath her hand as he took a long breath.

"I don't remember exactly how it happened. I remember I had paid for a prostitute. I did that alot back in those days. Well, I was drunk, and she looked so much like your mother..." He swallowed hard before continuing. "I don't remember what I said, all I remember was one minute there was yelling, and then she was dead, and I was holding the knife."

His entire body was shaking, and Eleanor pulled him closer, finding it odd to be comforting her own father. "I didn't know what to do... so I ran. It seemed that all I ever did was run back then." He paused for a moment and the shaking stopped. His teeth gritted together and he continued again.

"Eventually I made my way back to Illian... back home. My family would have nothing to do with me, and I ended up in a tavern like usual. That's where I saw your mother again. She was leaving the room across from mine, the man inside still bellowing for her to come back." Tears were streaming down his face but he didn't stop. "She took one look at me and ran out of the tavern. She wouldn't look at me, wouldn't talk to me, wouldn't have anything to do with me. Eventually I took matters into my own hands and went to the brothel she worked for, requesting her specifically. She came to my room... she refused to talk to me. She wouldn't even look me in the eye. After awhile I got so mad I just left. I stuck around, never hearing from her... and nine months later she brought me you."

His voice broke again at the last words, and his head fell into his hands. The tears went on and on for what seemed like hours. His words echoed inside her head, she couldn't wrap her head around them, couldn't bring herself to understand why he would tell her all of this. So she waited for him to stop.

After a while his heaving chest slowed to regular breathing and he sucked air through his teeth trying to calm himself. Forcing his head up, he looked over at his daughter with eyes shining silver in the moonlight. "I promised myself I wouldn't tell you any of this until you were a woman." His voice was shaking. "Well, I guess you are now."

Shrugging her hand off of him, he placed one of his own on her shoulder. "Just be careful Eleanor. What you and young Lucas were doing in there, it might be fun... but if you aren't careful people can get very hurt."

He stood as he spoke and smiled down at his daughter with a tear streaked face. Squeezing her shoulder tightly, he headed off across the courtyard and left Eleanor sitting alone in bewilderment. Slowly, silent tears came to visit her face as well, and when they were gone, she stood and went to her own room, crawled under her own covers, and burried herself with sleep in the hopes that her thoughts would leave her alone for now.

Even after this, Eleanor's father simply doted on his little girl, overseeing her education himself during their long stints on the road. He ensured that she recieved a full and well rounded education in not only the Old tongue, but in every other subject, from history to mathematics. He was in high demand and was frequently taken on retainer by Lords and Ladies to help them with one problem or another. However, he never let this hinder her education.

Unfortunately for him, after returning to Tar Valon to visit an old friend, Eleanor was spotted by Red sister and the spark was recognized. Though he loved his daughter very much, there was little the old man could do but let her be taken to the tower for training.

Other Information: (disclaimer) The writing in the Origin section was intended as a joke. It by no means has anything to do with the bio itself other than the fact that I had no clue what else to put under Origin. Thanks for reading. ^-^
