It was a genuine question on how he was reading her.  He basically dropped a scum read on BFG after her second post and then stuck with it.  I was trying to understand a) how serious he was and b) how he was interpreting her reaction, or lack there of, to his scum read.  I was trying to evaluate how legitimate his read on BFG was, basically.

Same thing here.  I wast trying to get a better feel for why he was scum reading BFG.  If it was based on her specifically not reacting to him, or if he expected her to react the same regardless of who was pushing her.  I asked because I have seen BFG react differently depending on who she's interacting with.  It's the same reason why I kept asking BFG for her read on AJ.  The fact that she wasn't giving him one was weird after we'd just played again where both AJ and BFG were town, and in that game BFG didn't have a problem dropping a scum read on AJ very early in the game.  I've also see town!BFG drop an early scum read on town!Chris before.

Not entirely sure why this is relevant? I thought DPR was asking why Darthe wasn't looking at the top 5 (rather than the top 4) and then was also pushing Darthe for looking outside of the top 4 after he suggested his plan.  And even if DPR did agree that it could benefit wolves to suggest it, I'm not sure that would be alignment indicative, since it's basically a comment on mechanics and could easily be stated as either alignment.  And, no, at the time, that didn't impact my read.  My not great feelings about DPR were his entire focus on nothing but mechanics early on, and even when people tried to move away from the discussion on Darthe's plan, DPR kept trying to bring the conversation back to it.  I should have stuck with my D2 read that DPR and BFG were never teamed after BFG gave DPR her only town read.  But after Sooh cleared you, it was hard not to go back and look at DPR and a lot of his interactions felt like they could be in defense of BFG.  Obviously that wasn't the case since DPR was town.

Not usually, no.  But they will if they don't have a better option or if they think their partner slipped and they are trying to get ahead of it.  There are a few people who are exceptions to the rule.  I just watched a game where scum hard bussed a teammate D1 into D2.  I was asking the question because I thought it was highly unlikely BFG and Darthe were ever teamed in that scenario, so I thought it was odd anyone was seeing them in that scenario.  I wasn't seeing Darthe/BFG as w/w.  I was seeing it as t/t or t/w.

In this interaction about BFG, Darthe was sussing Sooh for her "soft defense" of BFG.  But if you look at it, you can see how Zander hops onto it supporting Sooh's statement that BFG would be obvious later, which could also read as Zander softly defending BFG by sheeping Sooh.

I hail from PersonalityCafe.  I've been playing mafia for about 2 years and have ~20 games played.  I've played as town a lot more than wolf so I'd say I'm a lot more comfortable being town than wolf.  I don't know if I necessarily have a preference.  Variety and all that.

Tbf, I did sort of question why you were commenting on people outside of your top four, but I sort of shrugged it of as you thinking something along the lines of "my idea isn't gaining traction, going to keep looking at other people."

 

I am curious why DPR kept pursuing why your idea was wrong though.  Is he normally someone who will latch onto things like that and just keep bull dogging it even after everyone else has kind of moved on?
