Fleeing - if you haven't already said, what are your thoughts on Scruffington. Is Eldrick your most want to lynch?

 

Eldrick is my preferred lynch, I don't know why people want to lynch Scruffington.

I checked his ISO since he hasn't posted since I joined but I don't get why people want to lynch him. 

 

Basically, he came in with a really scummy post saying that there was nothing in the thread and voted Eldrick for no reason. When he was called on it he came across as snippy, and when he was voted all he could say was that it was a bandwagon on him, and to me demonstrated that he wasn't reading the thread at all.

 

I find it's interesting that the two people we've been talking about lynching a decent part of the day now both want to vote Eldrick with ~3 hours left.

 

It's day 1. Barring a heavy meta read, it is all just a crapshoot anyways. The fact that you guys find a single post scummy is just picking at straws and hoping you get lucky. I 100% agree with his replies after the first post and if you guys believe that not reading part of a thread is lynchable behaviour then you might as well lynch me now since I almost certainly won't be bothered reading anything before I subbed in.

While I feel like he's kinda gliding along in this game, I don't feel anywhere close to confident he is a wolf.

 

Can you try to expand your thoughts on this? I know you mentioned a meta response that pinged you as wolfie, please elaborate.

 

I have felt like he's been shadowing me a little, and obviously followed Linz vote, but this still doesn't scream wolf to me. (I think I remember him doing this last match)

 

 

Eldrick as both alignments is a high poster

 

Eldrick as Town is all over the place back and forth here there and everywhere, contradictions backtracks and everything like total wtf.  As Scum he is kinda like this but not as much, like he becomes too conscious of his appearance and overthinks it and reigns it in some.

 

As Town he asks a lot of questions and has a very very broad spectrum and is well aware of whats going on. He digs into it and has a very good/high thread presence.

 

As Town hes trying to figure things out, figure out alignments and isnt afraid to go against the status quo.  He will call out whatever he feels is bothering him and vote whoever it is bothering him.

 

He also reads me well and I dont see any world where Town!Eld isnt interested in trying to ACTUALLY FOR HIMSELF try to figure me out if he's having doubts on me. And him calling me a Wolf and not voting me till Linz builds a case and votes me as an awful look for him.

To me this still feels too light to want to lynch him. I don't trust him, but I also don't think Eldrick would copy a vote as a wolf as that is really suspicious. I saw him do this about three times last game and it felt so scummy to me then, but he was a villager that game. 

 

I want to wait and see his response to all this when he gets on before I make any big decisions.

Eldrick was on Iron eyes with #407, Unvoted #764, voted scruff #828, Voted Coward #1350 all before voting Zander.

You can't know this, but we've frequently been able to find a scumbag on D1 through thorough analysis on this site, so that's what we're attempting to do.

Hey Cory/Chris and possibly others. How do you feel about Eldrick atm?

 

He's weaker than my other strong reads, but I like him quite a bit.  He's came across as very natural/genuine to me.  

 

I specifically disliked him sussing Zander for a while, but not committing to a vote until Linz put one on him. What's your take?

 

 

It wasn't something that jumped out to me as overtly scummy.  I'll go back and look at it again, but off the top of my head, could be sheeping, could be a "well, she's town and is confident..." thing.  

 

Do you know if he was voting someone else at the time?

 

 

Pretty sure Eldrick wouldnt just take someone with no exp with me words on me imo

if you mean why the scruff vote fell, i think it just peaked too early.

 

like in the short phase games if you get a wagon started early seldom will it be a wagon near eod. For three and a half days we had a 3-4 vote scruff wagon, only in the last day it started to change. I just think its a natural thing that happens in werewolf(ie wagons getting stagnant) and people want change or spice(hence the cfd culture on POG and some 12/12 MU mashes)

I was looking for a vote count. I wondered if Ironeyes was the first on Scruff and that's why Eldrick waited because he didn't want to be first, but it looks like Darthe and MrsClov already was voting for Scruff at the time.

If you're referring to Zander, he's been going after Eldrick for pretty much the entire day phase.

If you mean Coward -> Scruff, no, you're not the only one getting the vibe.  I can see where people might not have Scruff as a top candidate, but I don't think he's done anything to warrant being off the block.

I know you are obv GOAT but just wondering, historically do you normally read Eldrick well/have a lot of exp with him?

 

What do you look for in his Town/Scum games?

 

 

 

I don't know how many games I've played with him, but it's more than a couple.  I've seen him play a lot in games I've modded/helped with/spectated.  I don't think I've EVER been wrong about him with my EoD1 read of him (though a couple games ago I was wrong about him for a good portion of d1), after my first game where he was town.

 

I don't have anything specific I look for.  It really just comes down to "I think Eldrick genuinely believes this" or "I think he's full of crap"
