I just find the timing convenient.

But I also find the claim dangerous to make as scum so I don't know how I feel about him.

Looking for more input.

I expected n1 shot to be linz. Darthe makes sense, because of the cop post that was pointed out. I actually didn't put 2 and 2 together on my own there.

But whether or not he noticed darthe's breadcrumb, not protecting either just feels ehhh

A Cory story: why I believe it is possible is Eldrick is not only the last wolf, but a 1x mafia vig who shot his own teammate.

We begin by using our imagination. Let's pretend we know the wolfteam is Eldrick, FC & Iron. Let's think about end of day 1.

At this point in the game, FC is dead meat. Despite surviving the tie, both my & the BopSpades slot (the loudest villagers at that point) are absolutely gunning for him. Scoobs I imagine knows me well enough that I'm not just gonna "let go". Iron is situated SLIGHTLY better, but the team very likely sees his expiration date as not far. The only wolf with any serious chance of getting deep is Eldrick. Eld had a good d1, maybe playing a bit harder as a roled wolf.

As Cuth said about FC in general - FC would have realized he was almost certainly getting lynched d2, and told his team to bus before vanishing. While considering use of the mafia vig, is it such a shock to think Eld/Iron might have thought... "If eld shoots FC and claims 1x vig, doesn't he probably coast to endgame as a cleared villager?"

Wolves probably didnt expect Iron to get mauled the way he did d2, before he could even try to defend himself. But again... his expiration date was coming.

Now I'm normally not in the business of predicting wolves killing thier own, but this is more a function of Eldrick's behavior and the wolfteam in itself. I can't imagine Eldrick, as a villager, so heavily softs his vig over a series of posts instead of outright claiming it or keeping it to his chest. He was trying to draw attention to the claim, hoping for a "are you claiming vig?" from a villager, making his big play and becoming lack claaaaaaire. Unfortunately BopSpades throw a bit of a wrench in this, and Eldrick's responses have since been very deflated. Why so quickly deflated in a game the wolves are so far taking a bit of a pounding?

Because he tried to make a big play and it didn't work out. I'm not arguing the play is optimal or something villagers should even try to "predict" in the future. I just fully imagine that it's something Eld would think about and Iron would not argue with. DragonMount's history has had plenty of "plays" like this, for better ot worse. Feel like Eld saw an opportunity to get himself 100% clear and win the game for his team.

You may be right

I may be crazy

But it just may be alunatic you're looking for

(the other, less sexy and less tinfoily option, is that it's just fredwood)

Yeah,no. My only softing was during the night passage I responded to copping him as vigging instead. My shot was already submitted in him.

And I claimed the shot as soon as I found out it was a scum death, in my response to linz.

I was surprised when bop challenged me on it, but it made sense to me. I already thought they were town. What would they lie about a shot they didn't take?

So it made sense we both shot him. I rolled with it. you can read that as deflated if you want, but it was acceptance.

So I never understood the reasoning behind "don't discuss subs" but at the very least, you should prolly stop referring to the slot by the name of the person that subbed out.

Just means dont discuss your thoughts on WHY people subbed out. people deserve their privacy. No reason you can't talk about Sooh's content, would be silly to bar discussion ITT considering her post count

Thank you for explaining that. The sentence bugs me every time it comes up.

And it's annoyingly close to "they subbed out, the slot must be scum", which is for some reason allowed.

I do think that if the people that sub out, a greater percentage is scum. But this should never be used as a reason to suss someone, not even jokingly.

That is pretty much why the rule exists :P

I generally get a good feeling from his content. I have since D1. Everything he says makes sense and he seems to be solving.

Had a hiccup recently with the tinfoil bit, but I think that's just different interpretations of the word. After he explained what he meant, it made sense.

I know Zander is having issues with him, and I do kinda see what he means. I haven't compared this game to others. I don't have a town meta to base him off of, so I can't judge with the info others are using.

He might be town and so his posts are obviously clean.

He might be scum, and his posts are "too clean".

Before cuth claimed, I was leaning the former. Now I'm not AS sure. Cuz I'm misreading someone.

I have an weird mix of "happy with how far we've gotten" and "no clue where to go from here"

It's like the finish line is right around the corner!

...but....which corner?

Eld/Fred is my poe. Have a strong a villager read on basically everyone else. If those two don't end the game I prob go Sooh. But I don't think it'll get that far
