I have a lot of problems seeing Killa/Darthe/Manbat/Tress as wolves or SK

 

Maybe I'm being overconfident but at this point I can feel the taste of foil in my mouth every time I doubt myself and it tastes bad and I'd rather taste tacos

the worst part about this game is when there are no wolves in the clears and you are CERTAIN there is one cause you both feel foolish and bad or at least I do cause i hate misreading people

tress is really hard for me to objectively assess for a few reasons, the major one being i have played many games with her and she has always been a villager every time and i always came to that read by i'd say d2 the latest

 

i'm not sure i feel exactly that way now, but then i read her iso and i go "oh she's a villager"

 

i've done that literally like 3-4 times and every time i do the voices in my head quiet

 

but i guess i'm not 100% sure if that's because i'm right or if i just underestimate what she's capable of as a wolf/sk

Obviously you'd call me a liar, because that's miles away from C9++.  A slight deviation from the open set-up does not flush the set-up in its entirety down the toilet.  Darthe drops an uncountered claim that makes a hell of a lot of sense here and he didn't wait for most of the field to reveal before doing it, you're dismissing probability of a doc out of hand because this is not a completely open set-up, and you're also telling the "real" doc to not counterclaim, it just all reads to me like you're in quite a pickle and desperately need a mislynch and you're going to stir the pot with people like me and Darthe rather than any of the serious suspects because you don't want any of it to be useful information if you still go down today.

 

I've been focused on ed in my reads, and for days, but never mind that. What's going on here is pretty simple: Cory is the leader and players are positioning themselves to fit into his style of playing. It's not a bad way to go - nothing wrong with it per say, except for 2 things... it immediately puts players outside that play style in the disposable poe pile (and that's been blatantly pointed out over and over) and sooner or later he's gonna roll scum. So, it's not without it's flaws.

 

Hence all of the "lock clears" being people that Cory is familiar with and the poe's being Me/ed/tigs. Yeah, he'll let Killa ride but she's openly supporting him - she quickly spotted and fit into the play style that he wants and that preserves her.

 

As far Niniel goes, he says that he does not like bussing and I don't doubt it. But what allows his plan to work is that everyone knows each other's play style. That means that he has to take into consideration that anyone that spots Niniel as scum will also be expecting him to spot her. That boils down to exactly 1 choice - he has to bus her.

 

Which is all to say that it's really neat when you explain above how things should work. But that's not always how they do work. You factor in Darthe's record for false claims and I don't think that my scenario is so hard to see. 

 

If it reads to you like I'm desperate, that's because I'm in the current situation and am trying to preserve my town slot. 

 

 

 

I mean obviously you did get into it with Ed for a while first.  You've been transitioning away from that onto people outside of the POE.

 

For a while at first? From D1 building to now, or what he calls a "setup". LOL

 

I've also had Darthe on my list the entire game. You know this.

 

And I suppose a villager can find whoever they damn well please to be suspicious, but you've been largely ignoring Tig and Tress as far as I can tell.

 

Misrep #4. I've repeatedly said i didn't have a problem with Tigs play. Still don't.

 

I've also commented on Tress and pretty much said she's doing a good job of keeping her cards close to her vest. So, have another look.

 

Basically it just looks narrow to me.  Without ISOing most of what I remember of your earlier game when people were generally leaning town on you was pushing consensus villagers, and since your back's been against the wall you had a go at your counterwagon and then turned back to more or less consensus villagers. 

 

You'll call this a misrep and intentional twisting because that's your gig, maybe you've shown broader coverage than I remember and I can ISO that later but if you have it didn't stick out to me, and I'm generally looking for how other players approach my top suspects.

 

Yeah, yeah...

 

I guess maybe what I should be asking is: assume for a moment I'm town; why in your opinion should I not want to lynch you right now?

 

 

Call it the rebel in me, but I'm getting tired of dancing to your tune while Cory "doesn't like showing his work."

The fact that I usually don't feel the need to explain my votes is mostly because people know why I'm voting already. This whole line of thought from you just seems to be nitpick after nitpick about my specific playstyle (it is what it is) but the rationale between why you don't like it ("doesn't explain his votes!") is not really a supported conclusion in thread context.
