Following on from the "2008 Top Singles - It's A Knockout", the contest returns, but this time in a shorter format. The idea is for the thread to last a week and focus on a particular artist, group, singer or musician. And the first up for this format is Queen. Monday saw Bohemian Rhapsody triumph over I Want to Break Free. The next tie is between Another One Bites the Dust and Don't Stop Me Now. Another 4 songs will go up to determine the semi-finalists. The Grand Final will be up on Sunday and the winner announced on Monday before the next contest.

Also up this week is the Band of the Red Hand's weekly Tune or No Tune thread. This week, the song is Wires by Athlete. It's quite a moving song. Please take the time to listen to the song and cast your vote here.

Next, for those who want to know, the winner of "2008 Top Singles - It's A Knockout", it was Nickleback's Rockstar. It defeated Sam Sparro's Black and Gold in the final. Katy Perry's I Kissed A Girl finished 3rd as it beat Alexandra Burke's Hallelujah.
