    ( yes, I made that up...grin )

  2. It's so nice to see people enjoying themselves for free!

    I'm not trying to sell books...I just wanted the faithful forty who used to read my daily RP posts to know the book exists...I had to post the entire site because I don't know who they are.

    * cuts the cheese for old time sake *

    Smells like fully processed homemade chili! ( that was supper last night )

    I found out you can read part of my book for free on Amazon...search for GrandpaG then click on the book and it will offer you the free preview...I hope...I didn't try it...I should...you know how I like free!

  4. Free room and board for the rest of my natural life...conjugal visits...free wifi...free medical including dental and vision...routine exercise periods...no trips to walmart...no car insurance...no taxes...no bills...hhhmmmmmm.

    Wait!!!

    No recliner...no livingroom...no fridge full of leftovers! I think I'll pass.

  5. Going back to work today...kind of scary after being off for so long...but I don't have enough cash buried in the back yard to retire yet...and I've only sold 41 books and three kindle so that won't support my coffee habit let alone my need to eat food...or to buy soap. Hi. Bye.

    Love,

    Gramps

  6. My granddaughter showed me how the readers can modify my book however they want it in Kindle so life is good again! I'm glad that I didn't waste a ton of time making it look perfect...I mean MY perfect...not YOUR perfect...you get my drift.

    Anyway, she showed me that the Father's Day tablet came with a Kindle program in some store thingy and she helped me spend $4.44 for my very first ebook which took like less than a second for delivery...the five paperbacks that cost me almost $75 won't be here until next Thursday!

    I still have some time to recover from the prostate cancer surgery before I have to go back to work so I'm reading my ebook just because I can.

    Love,

    Gramps

    P.S.

    One of my other granddaughters thought that it was neat that I put "Love, Gramps" in my book so I had to try to explain my fantasy world to her. She has an OK imagination but I don't think she really understands why I didn't use my "real world" name for the author name.

  7. It's my fantasy alter ego that I just can't seem to get out of my head!!!

    They have my "real world" ID for tax purposes...I make $2 per book or $1.50 per Kindle.

    That reminds me...I'd better check to see if that's working or not.

  8. I'm not totally computer illiterate (depending upon who you ask) but I don't know how to do such things...thanks for the input.

    I doubt there are very many GrandpaG fans remaining but I wanted to at least give them a chance at learning about my one and only ever lifetime accomplishment.

    Some of my wife's observations as she is reading through the proof copy that I bought:  NO PAGE NUMBERS, NOT ENOUGH COMMAS, SOME TYPOS, but overall she likes it.  She is usually my biggest critic so I must have done OK.

    Gotta git back to fighting the Kindle beast.

    Love,

    Gramps

  9. I just found a printout from 2011 when I was spamming the rich man poor man thread in Rev 1. It was only 14 pages but it made me want to come here to read the rest so I thought I might as well say hi as long as I'm in the neighborhood. Hi.

    I've got some time off from work for health reasons that should be OK by the end of September so I might be able to finish my novel. So far I have heard that I can get it put into printable shape on amazon create space then they will make it available as a Kindle download. If all of that happens I'll let you know. I'm about half way done with chapter 18 out of 20 total. I might add a post script...you know me.

    Anyway, I'm still breathing so far.

    Love,

    Gramps

  10. Happy Father's Day to me! FREE Galaxy tab4. Don't like the hunt and peck keyboard but you all know how much I like FREE!!!

    I'm using my son's data. He said he has lots left over each month so FREE plus faster equals a happier gramps.

    Chapter 16 is almost finished...had to build wifey a 15 foot closet to hide her clothes...back to writing again now. Few more months maybe.

    Bye for now.

    Love.

    Gramps

  11. Trying out the wife's new laptop hooked up to her phone.  It's not as FREE as I am used to but it seems to work OK.  Lots of Giga stuff so it must be better than my old XP with dial up.

    Working on Chapter 14 of my novel.  Typical GrandpaG stuff.  Not half way done yet.  Working on it a couple of hours a day during the week.  Might have it done in a year or so.  I'm not looking to make money off from it but I would like thousands of readers (you know how I crave attention).  Somebody said Amazon will post it for sale then you get some money each time a book sells.  I almost think I'd get more readers if it was free.  Don't know.  Plenty of time if I don't die.

    Hi.  Bye.

    Love,

    Gramps

  12. At least we are of one mind, my queen.

    * bows *

    * scrapes *

    * gives the salute *

    I'm just SO proud to be part of all of this...I could just pee I'm so happy.

    * pees *

    * needs the smiley with the eyes that bulge *

    * can't find him *

    * ran out of patience waiting for the "show all" to load *

    :rolleyes:

    Anyway,

    I just printed Chapter 1.

    About 15 pages (I didn't count them and it will change later anyway).

    Not THE VERY BEST STUFF I'VE EVER DONE but not too bad if you're used to GrandpaG RP stuff.

    Was telling my son and his daughter about it yesterday and they both said "That sounds like REVOLUTION!".

    A series that I haven't seen that they have been watching for 3 years on TV.

    So, now if I ever do try to peddle my wares they'll say "you copied REVOLUTION".

    That's OK.

    I know the truth.

    I wasn't really planning on being able to retire on that money, anyway.

    I'll just keep being a human robot.

    So there.

    * doesn't want to look for the smiley that's sticking out it's tongue *

    :rolleyes:

    Gramps

  13. Indiana?

    Nope.

    (phew)

    Just printed the entire introduction.  15 pages as it stands.  Probably 10 after I edit it.  Not my greatest work but it was necessary to set the stage for the actual book.  Bought a new laptop just for the book writing.  Now they want me to buy Word online.  Might just use the notepad and call it good.  My virgin PC will never experience the internet.  Clean flash drive for backups and printing.  If TOR won't accept notepad maybe I'll have to post it online for free.

    First, I have to finish building doors for wifey's bedroom closets out of tongue-and-groove pine boards.  If I knew what I was doing I would have had the job done a couple of years ago.  Oh, well.  I'll just hurry and slap it together so I can get started writing the book.  That's the American way, right?

    Love,

    Gramps
