  1. Amazon prime just cancelled the Bondsman (Kevin Bacon) after it's first season. Debuted with 563M minutes.
  2. No one's ever really gone. Highly likely Loial if he is dead gets a return with the horn and maybe Siuan as well.
  3. There is an apparent drop down menu above the lists that seems to indicate I could select different countries but the button does not work so that would explain why. I thought it was held in some regard but I have no basis for why I thought that except for hearing it talked about a bit and being around for a long time. I am basing all my analysis on the data provided from it's site so if the site is inaccurate or poor then the analysis is of course corrupted by the underling poor source.
  4. Of course not but it is usually the one referenced it is also the one that this thread in particular was centered around. I also cannot seem to get the site to show me other countries rankings so it's hard to compare them, someone else might be able to reference some information on nielsen rankings in other countries.
  5. Tried to work out a bit more about possible position. There are 17 shows at least ahead of WoT across the separate Nielsen lists. Bobs Burgers which at the very best is 13th place has 633M minutes compared to WoT's 427M. This would at a guess place Wot in a best-case scenario somewhere around number 30 overall, but more likely a considerable number of places lower than that. For the first time I am starting to think it's possible they may not even do a wrap up season even.
  6. Of course it is an achievement to get a ranking in a Nielsen top ten although it is in the original category and not the overall top 10. But for the show itself and it's hoped targets I cannot imagine it is great. For it's finale to be barely beating a show that finished 3 weeks prior can't be good. For it to have lost around 20% of its episode 4 audience can't be good especially considering the acclaim that has attached itself to the episodes. Word of mouth usually tends to have the opposite effect.
  7. Its back in the top ten original series but it's because of other series falling not an increase in viewing. This is the finale I think as well very poor viewing numbers.
  8. One video I found also pointed out that trying to defend the legs is difficult because your arms lack the leverage and position to defend against an opponent attacking from a lower position.
  9. God i had forgotten how truly terrible that show was.
  10. That description does ring a bell actually peak CW.
  11. Personally I don't see a massive overlap with WoT. It has some very heavy BDSM, rape and sexual themes throughout the series. It also has some very graphic depictions of violence and gore. It is not those things that soured me on the series it is more his Ayn Rand objectivism themes that bled into the series later that really soured me on the series as well as learning more about Goodkind. I enjoyed the different magic systems that where present in the series and thought they were explained and followed well. I don't remember the high ground stuff I think I only managed 3 or4 episodes before quitting. As an aside I'm fairly sure in melee situations high ground is not the major advantage people seem to think it is.
  12. I have a funny relationship with the series I started reading it when I was 15 or 16 I think and enjoyed the series for some time. As I became aware later of Goodkinds detestable views and him being an Ayn Rand devotee led me to reassess parts of the series in a much less favourable light and Goodkind in particular much more so. Attempting to make the first book at a CW safe for kids level was an insane call. I watched some of the show but it was truly horrendous, I think the only thing I liked about it was the actress who played Kahlan.
  13. If we are using this board as an example then I would hardly describe it as an unending procession. Maybe it is different on other apps but I am not active on any of them so I don't know. This board has a definite lean that is not what you describe. Probably the only other places I see reactions are IMDB reviews and Youtube and both of those also seem to skew heavily towards show positivity.
  14. I'm still not sure about the true power stuff, it could be or maybe it could not be. If so does it mean that the true power is visible to a woman wielding Saidar? I think it the manner in which the existing story lines are being managed and the extensive additional story lines have taken time and resources away from other areas that is the biggest issue for most people. I don't think I have actually seen anyone advocating for a direct 1 for 1 reproduction of the books from either side of the fence.
