i loved 'the slog' ive read the series a few times through now and probably due for my next read through.. the only thread ive only read once is Perrin and Faile....tough read that, to the point ive probably missed a fair few decent moments within the books....i just cant.....it hurts to read such basic characters...

I had a theory more based on hope than anything, which will never be proved either way, but my theory was the show started so clean and simple becuase that is how the early books were written, simplistic fantasy with characters with fairly basic stories......theres many theories as to why the books got so much better as they progressed and im not here to discuss them, but my theory was that as the show progressed, it would get deeper and darker as per the books doing the same.... it started to head in this direction in season three and i was secretly hoping it had found its feet around the same time Jordan did in the books..... it was just a theory and im not trying to say Jordans books were as simple as the show, just a progression into a deeper told story... hence why the sets looked so clean, to Mimic that 'simplistic' world view...

if only there was somekind of magic in the book lore that allowed them to create a gush of wind.....

im really enjoying the season and i loved the tanchico parts of this episode... weak points for me were the healing of Alana, and, one i cant see brought up much anywhere at all, is Egwene removing the whole Lieing about being an Aes Sedai arc.....i get she hasnt got a ring....but one of her biggest 'maturing' moments was owning up and accepting the consequences of her actions.... that said, maybe its not that big a deal in this short format.... rest of everything was really cool, Joshua coming into his own here...

theres bits and pieces, but nothing cut out as such, just changed a bit the top of the list is to rewrite Failes character, and adjust Perrins arc....its just gratingly painful to read for me.... .... i really enjoyed the circus and Mat and Tuons courtship....
