  1. Question: would you consider creating a thread for people to request/commission members to create sigs for them? I can see some people wanting nice sigs, but maybe aren't the creative or technical type, so they would be interested in having someone do it for them.

  2. I love all these ideas! I'm a terrible sketcher/drawer, but I would definitely check out the 30 days of drawing something (fairies, mermaids, elves, dragons,...all of it!), as well as can totally be a judge for the drawing/animation contests. I would participate in the 365 photograph challenge as well as work on a piece for 30 days (I'm super slow when it comes to my paintings ?).

  3. Howdy! My art is typically performance, however, I also dabble in landscape painting. I've done two paintings with acrylic, and 4 with watercolor. I just started a new painting, but this time, I'm going to try my hand with oil pastels.

    • What makes you post? I enjoy getting to know people, and talk about common/differing interests. I learn new things, and I have fun fan-girling with like-minded individuals.
    • What prevents you from going into areas that aren't strictly "yours", like maybe other Ajahs' boards? Absolutely nothing. And even when I become a full sister, it'll still be nothing.
    • Would you like to participate in events? Of course!
    • What kind of event would you like to participate in? Doesn't matter to me. I like participating and organizing fun things for people to do.
    • Where do  you think events should be advertised? If the event is open to everyone in the forum, having a centralized place for events would make it easy to see all the goings-on, regardless of the group one is in. I also think it's important for each group to do their own special things for team/group bonding purposes that isn't necessarily open to the public. Those types of events should remain private and with their own groups. Now, in the case of events that have multiple groups participating, but isn't open to the public (such as an Ajah wants to do something with the Warders, but wants to keep it amongst themselves)...that's where it gets tricky, and will require some thought.
  4. Yeah, introvert/extrovert doesn't dictate how outgoing and social you are...it's a matter of where you get your energy from. I'm only saying it's not a surprise we here at DM are for the most part, introverted. I recognize personality tests are not all encompassing, and humans are much more complicated than being put into 16 boxes. It's all funsies, and interesting to see where people are at this point in time ?.

I AM getting a little out of practice.... These younglings playing with cake instead of swords.... Burns just don't need the same kind of care as a mortal wound.

    *deep sad sigh*

Alas, I only *officially* have cake in my arsenal right now, due to I am a simple Novice. I will say, though...the daggers my eyes produce can be quite deadly.

  6. And THAT begs the question: who determines if something is forward or backward? I know what *my* idea of forward is, and my gut tells me you, and those here at DM, probably all share similar ideas, but not everyone does. Is the idea of moving forward a matter of majority rules?

It is my thought society, and our planet for that matter, is on the cusp of a fundamental change, and I will hold out hope the way we feel about moving forward is the direction we indeed move in. In the meantime, people like us will continue to impact that which is around us, which will proliferate and grow. I’m an optimist, and make efforts to see the light through the distress our society is currently in. Yes, my heart hurts to see the things going on, however, endings are usually messy, and the beginnings that come out the other side tend to be beautiful. People have to throw their fits first before they finally accept what is

    in front of their face.

  7. Thank you. Very insightful, particularly about who you are growing into, and basing your decision on that. I feel many tend to be stuck on what was/has been, and they try to hold on to that. It's ok to change your mind, or even your beliefs...because as we live through life, we learn and see things we never thought we would, and those experiences do change us. Not fundamentally, because you're inherent nature stays with you, but perceptions and understanding deepen, which affect thought processes. If people were more comfortable with thinking that it's ok to change, and not feel guilty about it, can you imagine what society and the world would be like?
