If the bold is what you're stuck on, it's not relevant. Dice played scummy enough to get run up, regardless of whether he wanted to or not. Typically, scum don't want to be voted, so claiming Cop is the right scum play. If he's town, then obv all this is moot.

Here's how I'm looking at it, and I'll use Occam's Razor. D1, I thought Dice was a little scummy, and by EOD I was willing to lynch him for it. He claimed Cop. The most obvious thing, if I was right, is that he fake claimed Cop as anybody in his place would do. It's pretty standard procedure for a run-up scum player. If I'm wrong, then Dice is town Cop and I apologize postgame for not fully believing. I really don't think a "gambit" of Dice fake claiming as scum is that complicated.

Can't tell if the bold is snark or not. Regardless, don't you think that's a particularly important tidbit for the class to agree on?

Are you saying you disagree with DPR's assessment that Dice is scum? Look, I know you've seen some of the sh*t that has been posted over the last few games. Do you really think it that crazy of a scenario that people might try to get cute instead of just performing the most logical action? Look me in the eyes and tell me you think I'm way off base, here. As for a better explanation, I admit to not currently having one.

Btw I wasn't suggesting strongarm can't always kill - I mean the mafia might not always decide to use that to kill the Cop. Obviously we disagree on that piece, which is fine. What would I do? If I'm scum and Dice is not - he gets strongarmed in the face that night. But I can't think only of how I would play it, and neither can you. You are doing that, though. You want everybody to assume it only gets played one way, but that's just not the case.

So here's my interpretation of what you seem to be doing: You clearly state you think Dice is scum, but you're not voting him. What you are doing is slapping the sh*t out of Rand, heh. Town!DPR is way more tolerant than this, but maybe you've changed in the years since we played. Scum!DPR was always a little more feisty, but again - see my prior sentence. That said, are you suggesting we lynch Dice today? Because that's a tall order with an un-cc'd Cop. I say this because if you think X player is obvious scum, you need to remove them from the game. You're zeroing in on the assumption strongman always kills the Cop here, but that's simply not always the case. RBing him and letting him push a bad agenda can also work for scum as they can just kill him whenever they need the RB elsewhere or he starts making sense. I'm pretty sure we've done this on JN more than once. This feels a little like you're setting the table and hoping others sit down to eat, because you are polished and manipulative enough to do it.

@DPR State your plan. I know you have one, and anybody with a brain can see how you're now leaning. Out with it. You and Turin both are like split personalities this game. FFS, pick one and stick with it.

Yes, I think it is possible. I think it assigns a level of manipulation to those two that I wouldn't normally assign to them, though. But it's certainly possible. Responses in blue. It's a you thing.
