  3. ...anyone wanna help? I think it's time to attack Serena's outside appearance...I have decided she is going to lose an eye. I don't know how, or why, just that i've been toying around with it for awhile. Not many Sisters lose eyes, not that it hasn't been done here. And I LOVE her eyes, so it's going to be tough...but necessary I think.

    Anyone wanna help?

  4. Great job, Jade! You have done a wonderful job. I know that I wasn't around a lot for awhile, but you picked up the pieces and did fabulous work. Trust me, I know all about the little ones. I have a 21 month old boy and part of my LOA/MIA-ness was because I was chasing my little bear around. It's still rough, but lovely all the same

    *hugs*

  5. A lump formed in the Aes Sedai's throat as the familiar sound of the large wooden door that led out to the Yards clicked shut behind her. Biting down on the inside of her cheek she willed herself not to let the tears continue to fall down her ivory cheeks. Was it really possible that the anullment of her bond to Thera Trakelyn had been more painful than the deaths of the others? Light, she was sure it was so.

Serena clenched her teeth as she stalked swiftly down the corridor. A sound that resembled a growl seemed to emanate from her throat, which caused any passers-by to either stare in wonder, or quickly dart out of the way.Rage seemed to fill her as if she were a glass brimming with red wine; and her ivory skin began to turn red with the emotion.

Who am I mad at? What in the bloody Light am I doing? I can't be mad at her for getting married and having a child. It's my bloody fault she isn't still my Bondmate and...

She winced as she thought and she could only paint her feelings as being painful. It was her fault that Thera was no longer hers; be it Bondmate or lover, it was Serena that had broken it all off and let the woman go.

I couldn't stand by and watch that man fall head over heals for her and have his heart ripped out by my decision. He obviously cares for her better than I ever could...or did

Jaw aching with the strain of barred teeth, she clenched down even harder. Was that the rusty taste of blood that filled her mouth? The Blue almost welcomed it. She wanted to scream with the agony she felt as the vision of Thera and her beautiful daughter kept invading her sight. Her once Gaidar truly was the Warrior Goddess of the painting in her rooms, but Serena, Serena was nothing. She should not have even had herself painted into that bloody picture.

The lump that had formed in her throat appeared to be tearing apart her chest, now. Breath seemed hard to come by, and she wasn't sure if she shouldn't stop and take a minute to catch it. No, stopping would not be smart. It would give her emotional strife a chance to catch up with her, and she couldn't have that. It was already enough that she had let her emotions and pain get to her like an untrained novice. Her many years in the White Tower, and under the scrutiny of other Sisters, had taught her how to seperate her feelings from reality. She had learned how to look at things from all angles in a cool fashion so that her decisions would not be biased, or be made impulsively.

Now, she was a ruined mess. Silently, she thanked the Light that she had no classes to teach and no Mentees to watch over that afternoon. Most likely, the woman wouldn't even be able to put a sentance together, or sound even half-way sane. Shaking her head, she cursed herself out loud, not caring who heard her.

"No Aes Sedai should act like this. Can you even call yourself that, now? You are a broken cowardly fool!"

It was not long before Serena found herself in the streets of Tar Valon. In a bloody toy shop, none-the-less!What in the bloody Light am I doing here? Teeth still clenched shut, and dark eyebrows drawn down to create a deep crease between them, the Aes Sedai was a strange sight in a childrens store. How had she wandered here, of all places? Dolls lined one wall, dressed in silken robes, and crafted from porcelain and other fine resources. For a moment, a familiar smirk crept onto her lips, and noticed that some of the dolls were split into seven colours of dress. One for each Ajah perhaps. Would the artisan truly have tried to make dolls of Aes Sedai right there in the heart of Tar Valon?

Serena found herself gravitating towards a dark haired doll wrapped in her favourite shades of blue; and as her hand reached out, her fingertips caressed the smooth skin of another woman's hand. An electrifying spark seemed to shoot up her arm, at that point, amplified by the beautiful eyes that stared back at her in shock.

"Thera..."She whispered in longing, loosely disguised as shock.

Cradling the red-haired womans face in her hand, Serena ran her thumb across the womans cheek bone, and stared longingly into her warm eyes. Her Gaidar's warmth seemed to coat the Aes Sedai's very being. At times like this, it almost seemed that a blanket was being wrapped around her soul. Leaning forward, Serena's lips softly traced the line that her thumb previously swept across. Her heart raced and she yearned for the woman she held. As her lips came to Thera's ear, Serena whispered softly, "You are my Light, my Love, my reason for being." A delicious heat rose from within her as her words finished, and the two silhouetted shadows that were cast on the wall from a dancing flame, intertwined and became one...

  6. I completely understand, guys. I work 12h days on the weekends, and sometimes go to school during the week.  ;) I also am chasing around a 20 month old( OMG he's getting so big!), so I definately understand. I just wanted to know if anyone had any ideas about where they would like us to go.

This passed week my son got sick and neither of us slept for three days, so I have not posted much of anything either.

I intend to get some done today if we don't get to busy at work.

  9. Hey guys!

Alright, *rubs hands together* I would like to start my term(hehe) with finding out what you guys want to see of the Blue Ajah. Would you like to see there be more members? Would you like to see the Blue's involved more in Major RP's? What do you think is the other Ajah's and N&A's view of the Blue Ajah here at DM?

Personally, I have always been under the impression in RL that it doesn't matter what other people think, but that is of me as a person in particular. Here, we are an Ajah, and in my opinion (and I know we have a Red infiltrator  ;)), the best Ajah. We have a lot of freedoms in the Blues with our different Causes, and things that we can dedicate ourselves to. Our stereotype doesn't restrict us like it may with the other Ajahs. Yes, everthing usually comes back to bringing some kind of Justice to something; but if you think about it, we can dedicate ourselves to almost anything. We could immerse ourselves in acquiring knowledge like the Browns, we could dedicate ourselves to finding the best kind of Healing like the Yellows, dive into politics like the Grays, hate men like the Reds (hehehehe :P, I know I know that's not necessarily true). Anyways, what I'm saying is...we rock, and we need to step it up a bit and show it.

    *grins*

I've had the best experience in this Ajah, and met some of the greatest people!

...but, it's not just about me and what I believe, it's about what you guys want. So, please, let me know.

    :-*

  10. Welcome! I'd love to jump in with my Trainee, but I have to get her re-approved  :P  I wonder if I could jump in with my Sedai, she's been spending some time in the Yards lately... Haha.

    Anyways, have a great time!!!!

  11. Blood and ashes, woman! N’Daye’s eyebrows came together to form a crease in the center of her forehead as the woman she was following continued to talk. The Illianer girl had no idea how someone could find so many words to fit into each breath. She do go on and on. Does there be no end to it? Shaking her head in disbelief, N’Daye followed, dumbfounded.

"Come on up," The Aes Sedai pulled on the dirty coat sleeve that N’Daye had worn for…well, she wasn’t quite sure how many days it had been. "let's freshen up a bit."

“Uh…” Was all she had time to get out, before the woman started talking again. Freshen up? What do she...? Before she knew it she had a draught of oil in her hand and a small towel. N'Daye let herself be pulled along while she studied the little bottle of oil, wondering what in the Light she was supposed to do with it. The Illainer girl had bathed before, but not with a tiny bottle of oil and a towel that could have passed as a shred of a curtain.

It wasn't until the two of them stopped walking that N'Daye realized that the Aes Sedai had brought them to her rooms. The long halls and inhabitants of the White Tower seemed to have blurred by them in a whirl, as she was being persuaded to bathe with a tiny bloody bottle of oil.

Shaking her head in confusion, N'Daye tried to fix her gray eyes on the woman's ageless face to at least tell her that she had no idea what in the bloody Light she was going on about. Holding up the bottle, her brows furrowed, and she pointed to the little glass thing in disbelief.

Finally, she stopped talking, and looked back at the dirty newcomer with an expectant look in her eyes. Do she be waiting for something? Wait... N'Daye slammed the heel of her palm into her forehead as if to knock some sense into her, and she tried to replay what the Aes Sedai had said.

"Perfumed Quarter..." she mumbled. "I did...be living there. No, no family." N'Daye ground her teeth as she said the last. "I do no be interested in gleemen, no any friends either. Friends just be making things more difficult."

Absentmindedly, N'Daye brought the tiny bottle to her nose, and gave it a sniff. The smell of roses wafted towards her, and she was suprised that the smell did not have that cheap scent to it. The one she had been used to smelling around her aunt. Wrinkling her nose, she looked down and realized that there was a different fabric in her hands, along with the little towel. A dress!

Jumping suddenly, the Illainer dropped the soft fabric and backed away. Both of her hands raised into the air before her and her eyes grew as wide as saucers, and she said, "Oh, no. I can no wear this!" The little draught of oil sloshed and threatened to leak through the seal that held the contents safely within.

Her head may have fallen off if it hadn't been stuck on to her body so tightly, as she continued to shake her head in disbelief. Pointing at the tiny towel, she said, "And what in the name of the Creator do I be doing with this?"

    N'Daye Kishar

    One day, a novice  :P

  12. No no, it cracked me up, too.  :D

I, too, like the idea of keeping the shagging and breeding under control for discression, and because we really don't get that aspect of that in the books. I do, however, enjoy to read the secrets of those that have had their children, and how they have dealt with it. Serena, herself? Not really interested in men, therefore...no breeding. *shrugs*

Although, I know the 'pillow-friend' idea has been shot to death, and I enjoy every minute of Serena's relationships with women(Thera especially), but what are your stances on that, these days? "Pillow-friends", that is.  :)

I also noticed how things seem to come in cycles; like, for awhile everyone seemed to be getting preggers and havin babies all over the place.  :P  Before that, ofcourse, all the women were sleeping with each other (so I am definately not saying that Serena's behaviour is original in any way, shape, or form)  :P  So...I definately see the patterns.

It was kind'a funny to watch people feel like they needed to confess about their characters in this thread as well. Hehe.

*Ahem*   Sorry for bringing it back again

  13. The musical voice of a child rang in Serena’s ears. Her brow furrowed, Odd, you don’t hear that sound in the Yards, often. Curiosity would not let go of her, and she turned to see where the beautiful sound had come from. It took everything she had not to let her jaw drop to gape at the most angelic scene she had ever witnessed.  The breeze blew threw hair like spun fire drops, and the two beautiful faces that stared back at the Aes Sedai were magnificent.

Like an angel and her cherub, Serena thought. No, like the red-haired Goddess she had had painted.

The Saldaean Sisters’ emerald eyes fixed on Thera’s warm caramel ones, and longed to be wrapped in their inviting gaze. Blood rushed to Serena’s face, and she was sure she was blushing. Light, woman!! You are not a bloody Novice gawking after the trainees. She scolded herself silently. There was no helping it, as her eyes swept over her once-beloved Gaidar, the Blue tried not to trace Thera’s form. The Mistress of Trainees had developed curves that had not been there before, and Serena could think of nothing but running her hands along...and being wrapped in those beautiful...Her heart felt as if it were breaking again.

Blinking, for what may have been the first time since being in the presence of the two, she cut off her dangerous thoughts and studied the child. A beautiful little toddler, full of innocence and what looked to be Thera’s guile. So obviously her child…I could never have given her a child… For the first time in many years, Serena could feel tears welling in her eyes over her yearning for her once Bondmate. Granted, she had yearned for the woman, but not in her presense. Light, she was bloody emotional. Woman! Get hold of yourself! You are the one that let her go, so what is the bloody problem?

A gust of wind whistled past her ear and she realized that the two had just been standing in silence for quite some time. What should she say? Anything? Where could she start?

Gathering herself, regaining some composure, Serena opened her mouth to speak; but a gasp was all that passed over her lips.

Foolishness!, she cursed at herself. How could someone reduce an Aes Sedai, all coolness and composure, to a spluttering fool? Light, what did the other woman think of this? Shaking her head as she rattled off as many curses as she could, without moving her lips, she was sure that Thera would still be angry with her, and was quite possibly laughing at her.

“She’s beautiful, Thera, just like her mother.” At last! Words! Serena began to turn, “Congratulations... for everything.” She said defeated, and headed back to the target to grab her knives. She had acted like a bloody fool, and would not stand around to be the object of anyone’s jokes or snide remarks.

Light, burn me for a bloody fool, The woman she had loved, and obviously still loved, was beautiful and whole; and she…she was a broken mess

  14. Ooh! That sounds good. I don't remember there being stories woven into the staffs, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen.  ;D  I think that each Sister added something to the staff as well. It's been awhile, though, so I'm not sure how that went...

  15. Looking down into her mug of ale, she could see her reflection, albeit slightly marred, staring back up at her. Serena sloshed it around in a circle, pretending not to see the perturbed look on the Asha’man’s face. He had not been happy to find her there, and she could not help but smirk back at him. No, he won’t be too fond of that, either, she chuckled in her mind.

Raising her eyes from the frothy liquid in her mug, she watched Arath intently again. His demeanor changed and he appeared absolutely infuriated. Narrowing her eyes was her only defensive move at that point. She did not want to back away and show him that his mannerisms frightened her; however, that did not mean that her heart did not jump into her throat as he fumed across the table from her.

"Yes, we've crossed paths before. At another ... similar ... event. Another foolish attempt by the White Tower to put a leash on a man who can channel. I do not remember much of Dumai's Wells, but I do remember seeing your face right before everything went black."

Slowly, the Blue Sister nodded in recognition. “Ah. Yes.” Her lips curled slightly in a playful smile, and she looked away from him for a moment to scan the crowd. Obviously, he had thought it had been she who had struck him.

Sighing, she shook her head. The small smile still on her lips. Her gaze returned to his,“Well, we all did what we had to do, Arath. Need I remind you that it was not my party that had kidnapped the Dragon Reborn. I, and my Sisters that I had traveled with, had disagreed with the others and had come to negotiate his freedom.” She was positive he would not care, but it was worth her time to remind him.

Her emerald eyes looked into his with sympathy as she tilted her head to the side. She almost wanted to reach across the table and place her hand on his; however, she was quite sure that would have been a huge mistake. The Asha’man were like highly explosive devices, just waiting to be set off by something. Serena wasn’t oblivious to the fact that these men had become trained weapons, and madness could not explain all of the horrid things that some of them had done; but Serena was not a firm believer that they could be all bad. Some of them were merely old enough to grow a beard!

“And, Arath, can you think of why you might not have died right there on the field? Some of the Aes Sedai do not have particularly wonderful Healing skills. You know, not all of us are Yellows.” The Saldaean Aes Sedai had been sympathetic to the male channellers, even then. In fact, she had Healed a few of the men, unbeknownst to her Sisters. At least, none of them had mentioned it afterwards. Most likely, between the Stilling, kidnapping, severing of limbs, and deaths, her Healing the enemy went unseen.

“I apologize if I left you, but you did not die, that is all I could do.”

OOC: if you don't agree with this, than I can change it.  ;D Serena did Heal a very select few of the Dedicated and an Ashie, I believe at DW's; but if you don't like it, just let me know.

  16. This is what I have for this topic. I really like the idea that Cale had, although it looks like in New Spring they may have done something different.

We could have a crematorium in the Sapphire Chambers, yeah! Remember our staffs are supposed to have belonged to Blue Sisters of the past, handed down through the generations. Perhaps the crematorium could be organized so that all of the women who have shared a staff are on the same shelf together. A bit morbid to think you would one day rest there with them, but...

    Any thoughts?

I remember from A New Spring that the deceased Blue's body was cremated with weaves of Fire. It had been the will of that specific Blue (her name escapes me at the moment) to have her ashes scattered over the grounds of the Tower, so it seems kind of contradictory to have a completely different custom for that kind of thing. Personally, I kind of like the idea of scattering of ashes. But that's just me.

    What do you think?  ;D
