oooo, Unseen Academicals is actually my least favourite, except for one small cameo. The Colour of Magic and The Light Fantastic have a different feel for the rest, and for me he starts to hit the tone that carrys through the rest shortly afterwards and certainly by about ummmm ....... Guards Guards.
OMG you have sooooo much to look forward to James Brown, if only you knew! :)
A Quirmism might be.... 'the floor dirt sucking machine that socks get stuck in' (and the your husband cuts it apart to get the sock out so then it won't suck any more. not holding a grudge.)

I love Wayne: he's got that whole seeking redemption thing going on, but it's also intriguing how he's smarter than others give him credit for, particulary when comparing to Wax, and I think he uses that to his advantage.
And Steris has really grown on me as well.

We will - but will we have to be nice to them when we get you back? Could be dangerous for them.

Hi all - welcome to the Gray Ajah's Discworld thread!
There are many things that I love about this series (one of the many things!) is B.. S Johnsons' ability to make things that don't work the way they are meant to and similarly Leonard of Qurim's inability to name his great inventions. One of my favourites is the 'Going-Under-The-Water-Safely' device because it submerges on a marine environment.
Do you have a favourite?
Could you name something in a Quirmish way?

I think Cadsuane will keep to the Oaths - to separate them from the Kin maybe. I think if there were to be a change it would happen in the future both to accustomise Aes Sedai to the notion (they not being great embracers of change) and for everyone else.
I think Elayne would rule for a while, make sure she has a competent successor (whether that is her daughter or granddaughter) and then renounce the throneand go off and research ter'angreal for the next 2 hundred years.

I was always amused at Egwene's amazement when Perrin just showed up out of the blue with all this knowledge and competence in the dream. I mean, we as the reader knows he has been going there for a while, and can do things like following people, but she doesn't. So she's ready to give a 'this place is dangerous' lecture (or maybe she does? I can't remember) and he just shrugs a bit like 'I know what I'm doing and have to be off cos I've got my own stuff to do.'
I also had the impression that Aes Sedai think dreamwalking is related to chanelling, but the Aiel dreamwalkers - some of whom can channel and some can't - show this isn't the case.

Just one single favourite scene? No way! :)
Mat turning up at the Stone, Mat with Snakes and Foxes, Rand in the pillars, Perrin forging his hammer, and those scenes in the border tower: "we hold until we are relieved". I have them all bookmarked for quick reference :)
