  1. Well way to win this game then. Vote Key The only "cunning plan" intentionally did this entire game was being vocal about being willing to let the Condemner live so I could encourage a counterclaim against Tig. Everything else was accidental.
  2. Hold the frick up, you're the cop?
  3. ...after all that WIFOM he STILL got shot? You are, by far, the worst pirate I've ever heard of.
  4. That's a great way to ensure they don't waste their kill on you
  5. Whats that like? I graduate in two weeks. It can't come soon enough.
  6. Lol, Verb NOT condemner confirmed, as he clearly thinks the condemner becomes a SK by hitting the target, when what actually happens is that the condemner wins and gets removed.
  7. Hider introduces too many variables for quick math done while walking from my parking structure to campus. You misunderstood me. The two situations I was talking about are 1) we lynch the condemner today and 2) we don't AND she removes herself from the game by hitting her target AND her target was town. In both, there's no 3p any more. Yeah, I actually did think someone could counterclaim. I didn't believe her claim at first read and my snap decision was that she was trying to save herself because you and DPR and I had talked a few pages back about how we'd rather lynch scum than 3p today.
  8. Now that I'm not rushing to get to an exam, I can explain myself. Earlier in the day phase I posted some math. I came to the conclusion that lynching scum today was a better outcome than lynching the 3p. Then Tigraine claimed. To be honest, I didn't believe the claim due to the inconsistencies--she sussed me for being 3p while knowing that I wasn't, forgot about her own BPV, etc. What I was hoping might happen is that I'd make the case that leaving the 3p alive, which would encourage the real condemner to claim. Then we get to lynch scum today and make winning the game a lot more likely. The backup case was I move my vote back to Tigraine near the deadline and we lynch non-town anyway. There was no losing scenario here. It was ALL upside, but I guess nobody else even bothered to think about it.
  9. Geez, got piled on. Not that it matters now since she seems to have self-hammered. I just wanted to take some time to consider every option since the deadline isn't for hours.
  10. I'll come back and vote her again after my test no better prospects emerge (read: if everyone isn't willling to lynch Key)
  11. Even if her target is town AND she hits tonight, we wake up tomorrow with 1 scum and 3 town. That's better than 2 scum and 4 town, which is what we get if we lynch her.
  12. Also all these people talking about Tig being night killed, including her. Have we all forgotten the condemner has a BPV?
  13. Catching up as fast as I can. My copyright law final is in 20 minutes so it's gonna be a quick pop in and then I'll be back in a few hours. Saw the Tig claim. Unvote pending a counterclaim. Now that we know who the condemner is, she's way less of a threat. It's much higher upside for town to lynch scum today. Either way we enter night with two non town, but if we lynch the condemner then we guarantee that those two are both anti town rather than one being neutral for the moment. I'd rather the condemner be the last non town we lynch if at all.
  14. ...he was? I have to confess I haven't watched any of them. I thought the "I'll be back" line as he sinks into lava was from the first Terminator. I was born in 1996. Some of the movies involved in this game probably came out before I was born lol.
  15. I literally looked up the death post.
  16. This makes no sense. Turin "slipped" by revealing info only the 3p would know, but then his suggestion not to character reveal rules him out as 3p... because if he doesn't want anyone character claiming he must be mafia? So he didn't slip? And how exactly do character names have anything at all to do with the cop? For the sake of argument, let's assume that a town member would have no reason to urge caution in the face of how he assumes some role works. Would the mafia believe their character names would out them? They could have been provided fake claims, or their character assignments could be NAI. Ed was Arnold from Terminator. Last I checked, he's the hero of that movie.
  17. Correct. I just wanted to correct the record because DPR's numbers were a little too, shall we say optimistic about what happens if we don't lynch mafia.
  18. Wait... I didn't account for the hider at all. But he's claimed so mafia won't presumably waste their shot there. Probably doesn't make a difference.
  19. These numbers are discounting today's lynch though. If we mislynch today the bolded scenarios change (these are assuming mafia NK town instead of wasting their shot on the 3p): 3p misses = 2 mafia, 3 town, and 3p left. It's anybody's game. 3p hits mafia = 1 mafia, 3 town left. We probably win. 3p hits town = 2 mafia, 2 town left. We lose on the spot. If we lynch mafia today, all scenarios look pretty good. 1 mafia, 1 3p, and 5 town going into night, so even if 2 town die that night we still wake up with 1 mafia and 3 town. If we lynch 3p today, there's for sure a mafia NK (no BPV left) and we end up with 2 mafia and 4 town in the morning.
  20. Nope, no other votes. Just me and Verb on Tig, and Tig on Key.
  21. Rushing into the obvious lynch didn't go so hot for us on D3, so it's fair. I'm happy to see Tig voting Key for that reason, because I think that puts the votes at 2:1. Unless there's a third Tig vote I forgot about? I'll have to look back for the most recent VC.
  22. The DPR also looked like scummy behavior to me and if it weren't for Verbal's annoyingly salient point about how it costs the Hider nothing to counterclaim, I'd have him on my WTL list. So the multiple read lists a day don't give you something to go off of? Or my openly evolving stance on Ithi? Or my insistence that Verbal is town despite other players disagreeing?
  23. Not the sus itself, but the reasoning behind it. You found a piece of language that had multiple potential explanations (i.e. Turin is obsessed with role interactions, Turin made an assumption, or Turin knew something that wasn't public knowledge) and instead of applying logic to figure out which was most likely, you latched onto the one that made him/me scum. What that says to me is that you needed a way to participate in game solving and took the first available option. That's why I think it's a scum tell. TBH I think your lack of hammering is 80% likely to be a result of just not looking at the vote count carefully and therefore not realizing Heavy was one vote away from death. So I can't read anything into it.
