I’ve read the Wheel of Time series three or four times. I had my boys read it. They begged their grandmother to read it and she did. I have loved the series from the beginning.
I hate what this writer and producer have done to this story. Perrin had no wife before Fayle. Egwene and Rand were over before they started. Padan Fain was never near the Horn of Valere. Mat is a scoundrel, but turning to the dark side? Never! Seanchan in the first season? Garbage! Loial dead? Moraine gentled? This is no longer WoT, but a gross butchering of Robert Jordan’s work.
This show has added nothing of value and they’ve rewritten significant important parts of the story. I’m very close to refusing to watch the first episode of the second season. To say I’m enraged may be an understatement.
I feel the same. I’m likely to drop the show. It just made me so sad. -
I just finished the 8th episode. The only things I recognized were the names of the characters. The story is being re-written.
Has anyone watched the Mandalorian? New story set in the Star Wars universe. All the Mandalorian needs is characters named Luke and Han Solo to be like the WoT.
I’m really disappointed.

No, cancer can never take the best of him. The best remains with his family, friends, and those that knew him. My condolences. May his memory be a blessing.

Wishing everyone who is effected the strength to fight this terrible illness.

Wilson, wishing you strength as you go through this. Prayers too.

White Cloaks seem more like the Knights Templar.

I never thought Siuan was a "minor character."

I think we all do!

Could it be he's writing another book in the WoT universe?
-
Just bought the second one. Can't wait.

Just wow!!!
I came to the WoT after Robert Jordan had passed. Thank you.
-
I loved the first book. i'm planning to read it again prior to the second one coming out.
-
Thank you!!

Thank you, Jason. I just love it here. The Wheel is timeless. Even now, people of all ages are discovering Robert Jordan's books. Sadly, I discovered them after his passing, but I was able to know him through his words. I've made friends from everywhere, friends that love the Wheel of Time as much as I do. Dragonmount has been a great addition to my life.

Exciting!!!

Love those!

Wow! I think I'd need someone right with me to make that.

You are most welcome. :)

I've seen one of the "Questioner."

Same for me Zikang!!!

Good points, Cindy. Though, I think that since the legal hurdles have been removed, a major studio has the rights, and Harried said it will be a TV series, are all good news indeed.
But bringing it to life, involves many things.

Harriet: The Wheel of Time will become a cutting edge TV series! I couldn’t be more pleased.

Siuan ends up with Gareth and Moiraine with Tom.
“Ok, gonna disagree with you here. Mo and Siuan are canonically lesbians.”
These two were basically very young and in a convent. At the most they are bisexual.
I objected to the adult portrayal of this part of their relationship. IMO, it was for titillation purposes and that only in my opinion.
As for the Emonds field population being homogenous, I totally agree and I initially held to this point. However, I was pleasantly surprised as the diversity really works for me. I think it adds a richness to the community.
Re: tatoos. Siuan also lived near the water. Her father was a fisherman. Perhaps they picked up some customs of other seafaring populations?
