Actually, we weren't drunk. Kaylee was pregnant at the time, and I was actually the designated driver on the way home because of the lack of sleep thing.

We were planning on getting up super early to dress in costume, run a couple of errands and then drive about an hour and 15 minutes to get to the grounds, in order to be there for opening cannon.... so Kaylee decided to spend the night at my house. Unfortunately, I had a bedbug infestation, and while I normally could sleep on my air mattress, there was noplace safe for her to sleep, and she kept waking up because she was being bitten.

So about 2 AM we gave up and watched a couple of episodes of the Season 1 Game of Thrones DVDs with commentary.

We made it through about 5 hours but were both so exhausted that we decided I was going to have to be the one to drive home, and we needed to do it then or we wouldn't make it. Definitely not that interesting.

Thankfully the bedbugs are gone. :shudder:

Kaylee and I dressed up this year. And totally forgot to take pictures.

I think mostly because we had a total of about 2 hours of sleep before we went.

Authenticity does not mean I have to like it.

I'm just not a fan of dark meat poultry. And turkey legs are HUGE quantities of dark meat.

I usually skip the turkey legs, but the mead is always welcome.

I think DM people would be really fun to go with for a medieval fair.

You bet! There are quite a few of us who do that sort of thing anyway.
