The woods were silent last night. Too silent. And that silence did something to the campers. It curled around their thoughts, pulling at their nerves. One of them must have heard something. A snapped twig. A breath too close. Whatever it was, it was enough. A shot rang out before midnight. When morning comes, one of the campers is found near the trail — eyes wide, blood on the leaves, weaponless. They weren’t hunting. They weren’t a threat. They were just… unlucky. Whispers spread fast. “It had to be the thing in the woods,” someone mutters. But no one looks convinced. Tephulis, Vanilla Townie, has been killed. And that’s not the only empty bunk. The second body is discovered slumped over their journal, a page torn in half mid-sentence. The one who had been asking questions. The one who had been watching. Two are gone. One taken by the forest. The other by fear. And something out there is getting bolder. Gabriel Kross, Camp Cop, has been killed.
