  1. So here are the people who were voting Darthe when he revealed:

    Lessa

    Ben

    Charis

    Turin

    Daruya

    Darjen

Of those, only Ben, Turin, and Daruya posted before the actual day ended.....which means they had time to unvote and no excuse like the others have of "I wasn't here to see the claim from Darthe".

That you guys pushed through a lynch on a Harry Potter claim blows my mind.  Did you really think Harry freakin' Potter would have been a safe fake claim scum had?

Ben is dead and was town (I can't wait to hear his reason for not unvoting, lol)............but both Turin & Daruya posted before deadline, and did not unvote.

I want to know why.  Today.

Popping in and using my phone, so apology for short posts.

I voted Darthe as I didn't have a good feel on anyone. I hate to admit I jumped on a bandwagon, but wanted vote to count. I did not see a claim that he was Harry Potter until after deadline.

Not very knowledgeable in the world of Harry Potter but feel a little guilt in that he got lynched the first night. But as people are saying, and I am learning, anyone can claim they are town, so not sure how to determine who is actually telling the truth. I guess that's where their actions come into play.

Charis is also starting to look more guilty to me. Verbs post asking for explanations is pretty clear that he was speaking to Turin and Dar. Both Lessa and Charis felt the need to defend themselves when it was obvious that they had not posted after Darthe claimed Harry. I don't buy the "it sure sounds like he wanted to hear from all of us" excuse. Because it didn't.

So you find me and Charis suspicious for us stating why we didn't change our vote from Darthe but you don't think that about Dar'Jen? Don't want your scum mate to take any heat?

    Vote:Rhea

  2. Lessa, how did the MOD say your kill worked? Could you have shot at any time after you got it? Would the target have died right away?

It would occur post-lynch. If I or the target was lynched, the action would fail. It was locked an hour before the lynch.

I'm going to go over the Turin/LZM bit since I only really skimmed it at work.

*casts protego upon myself and the group, and heads up the mound toward the opening*

  3. I can'quote at the moment but I do know that it was Turin asked what we all recieved.

I opened the Large Slytherin chest that had a one shot kill that had to be used on day one or be forfeited. After spending a lot of time thinking about who I thought was scum and going over people's posts, I choose to use it. And I was horribly wrong because I thought Ben was scum.

I know that will paint me as scum to everyone else and I know I'll have to pay for my mistake.

I will post more in about 2 hour when I'm home from work.

  4. @Verb - As for why I didn't unvote Darthe after his name claim, I didn't have a chance to catch on the thread until after I was done work which was an hour after deadline. I'm not allowed to use my phone at work as I work in retail. I felt terrible when I got caught up on the thread but to me he was acting like mafia. He didn't answer why he voted for Dar and from what I read up until deadline that he posted, before his name claim, lashed out that I have seen in the past by mafia players no matter how experienced they are.

I do think that it is odd that of those who voted for Dar on D1, LZM is alive. I think that the mafia are trying to set her up for the suspicion and that it is someone who didn't have much to say about what was happening to her. I'm going to go back through the thread to confirm my theory.

  5. LZM - thinks it could potentially be a slip on Dar's part for saying recruitment

       - Dar says she doesn't think the traitor went to Toad Face willingly but had to be blackmailed or threatened into betraying us.

Dice - thinks Dar doesn't want us hunting scum, saying the Inquisitorial Squad will be Slytherin's.

       - Dar asks Dice why he wouldn't want us going after the snitch since we know the Inquisitorial Squad is after us, so we should root out the snitch.

Darthe - hasn't given a reason, just that he likes the Dar votes

Ben- thinks Dar mixed up the Game Thread and the Mafia QT.

        - Dar says that she mixed up the game thread and the Troll Hunt thread

Elgee - says Dar is hitting 2 of 3 boxes for being voted, target someone and try to rile the others up to vote for that person, or maybe just create mass confusion

I think Dar is town. If she were mafia, why would she keep talking about the traitor? The way she is responding to everyone is very town for me.

I'm going to Vote: Darthe because he is the only one who does not have a reason for voting Dar, only that he "likes the votes" placed on her. I will keep an eye on those who have voted her however

  6.

Ben, you haven't struck a nerve. Granted, I don't like your vote but at least you are trying to reason it out, which is more than Darthe has done.

I'm actually a bit suspicious of Devil's Advocate at the moment. All of the "let's not judge a person by their House" could be scum trying to come across as all fair-minded and Hufflepuff. So the way I see it Devil's Advocate is either the most Hufflepuffy Hufflepuff ever or scum.

Dice is correct; canon is that there are NO Slytherins in Dumbledore's Army. Are there Slytherins that aren't scum? Absolutely but you'll have to pardon me if I tend to be a bit (okay a lot) more suspicious of them. That said, most everyone seems to be overlooking the fact that more than likely one of the scum is NOT a Slytherin. One of the scum is a member of Dumbledore's Army.  However, if the concensus is to go after the Inquisitorial Squad first, I'm all in. But let's not forget the snitch.

What is the point in speculating what House scum are in?  How does it matter?

This really just smacks of people trying to make pointless conversations look like gameplay.

I agree about the speculating about which house scum are in. There are examples in the books/films that show characters who are terrible people who weren't in Slytherin.

I also think worrying too much about canon might be destructive to the group though, but at the same time it's getting everyone talking and thinking about who the scum are. I think Dar is just wanting to keep in mind that there is a snitch and not to forget about it in searching for the Inquisitorial Squad.

How do you know this?  The OP speaks to the squad having basically infiltrated our ranks, but nothing about a specific snitch AND a squad (scum team).

This looks a lot like TMI.

    @Dar, care to discuss?

Dar, what about polyjuice potion? I know it breaks about 50 school rules and Umbridge wouldn't have a problem with putting students in danger to accomplish her goals. But what if some of the Inquisitorial Squad have taken some of the potion of whoever betrayed us and infiltrated the DA?

As I previously stated, there is potential for polyjuice potion especially since scum have false name claims. As stated in the OP, we have been betrayed which speaks to a snitch.

  8. That is possible, Lessa. However, anyone taking Polyjuice had to have been drinking it very regularly during our DA meetings. Remember how often Moody (actually Crouch Jr) took swigs from his flask when he was teaching here?

It's possible Led was thinking Slytherin is usually scum so that's why he chose the Slytherin door. But it's also possible he chose that door to throw us off of the path of the DA member who betrayed us. I'm not ready to vote him yet - not even an OMGUS vote -- but he's on my radar.

I'd probably have chosen the Ravenclaw door. Hufflepuffs are unfailingly loyal so I'm slightly less suspicious of them than of Ravenclaw.

True but what if whoever Toad Face blackmailed into betraying us wouldn't co-operate? She wouldn't have issue to take some hair for the potion.

    Success!

The lock binding the small chest snaps open.

Unfortunately it's still way out of reach.  You all swim back to shore and crawl out looking like a bunch of drowned rats.

No longer sealed, whoever summons the chest to their location will receive its spoils.
