I agree with a lot of those. 

Thom, and Min, are a yes.  Whitecloaks too.  And tinkers!  A snippet of the Ways would be great.  Some bigger linear context maybe, the breaking and the events of the prologue.  Maybe a hint of what the world was before, and how we got here.  

Another trailer will be on its way eventually.  Rafe has said it will be longer.  What was missing from the first trailer that you would want to get a glimpse of before the first episodes are released?

Just finished Xenocide by Arthur C Clark.  Recently watched the film Maze Runner and decided to give the book a try.  So far it's ok.  Actually like the changes made for the movie so far.  I may not have had I read the book first.  Will probably continue with The Scorch Trials afterward mostly because I would like to read it before seeing the film. 

Just finished a book by a relatively new author, JD Spero ( a neighbor of mine), called Forte.  About a teenage girl who moves to a small upstate town from New York city to better focus on her piano playing only to tryout and make the volleyball team.  She discovers there is something a bit sinister (or wonderful) about a blue liquid the players drink before practice and games and also that she seems to have lost her ability to play piano at the same time.  There is a bit of magic and prophecy and mystery all wrapped into the story.  It was a quick read and a welcome break from some heavier reading (for school) I have been into lately. 

Also finished Possession: Teaching Your Team to Keep the Darn Ball, by Dan Blank.  It's a soccer coaches guide to training teams in a possession style of play.

Currently reading Shutout Pizza, also by Dan Blank and Speaker of the Dead by Orson Scott Card.

Just finished Wizard Under Fire by Jim Butcher.  Will need to pick up the rest of the series soon.  Moving on to some of the stuff that's been piling up in the meantime while I've been in school.  I have some Terry Brooks in the form of The Dark Legacy of Shannara waiting, as well as the Shadowmarch series by Tad Williams and Speaker of the Dead by Orson Scott Card. Or I can round out the Malazan story by reading Knight of Knives, Return of the Crimson Guard, and Stoneweilder by Ian C Esselmont.   There are a few other choices but I think this is where my next read comes from. 

So let's see, I recently finished Enders Game, Steelheart, Alloy of Law,  and I am currently reading Jim Butcher's Wizard At Large.  Been reading text books for the most part lately due to returning to school.  Wish I could find more time to read for pleasure but there is only another month of classes so I guess I'll have to wait until then.

Finished Wizard By Trade by Jim Butcher and read Four by Veronica Roth.  Started Wizard at Large but didn't get far before starting Enders Game after watching the film.  Should finish that one up quickly and then back to Butcher.  Have so much to read right now.  3 more books by Card, another one by Butcher, Alloy of Law and Steelheart by Sanderson, and The World of Ice and Fire (The untold Stories of Westeros and The Game of Thrones) by Elio M. Garcia and Linda Antonsson.  Also received The Lands of Ice and Fire which I need to take a deeper look at at some point.  Very cool companion piece with maps of the known world in the GOT books. 

 

Finished Insurgent and Allegiant by Veronica Roth and Wizard for Hire by Jim Butcher.  Started Wizard by Trade. The Divergent stuff was ok but not great.  I like the Butcher stuff.  Kind of wish we got more of Dresden's backstory.  The little bits spread throughout the books are a little annoying but the story is pretty good.

My wife asked me to read it.  It was alright.  And it was quick so didn't waste too much time on it.  It was alright though.  I suppose if I was a teenage girl it would be fantastic.  Or a thirty something wife and mother of two, apparently, as my wife loved it.  She roped me into reading Twilight when that was a thing too.(shiver).  The things we do for the ones we love...

Just finished Divergent by Veronica Roth at my wife's request.  Not too bad.  Went to a library sale and picked up Jim Butcher's The Dresden Files, the entire series in hardcover, for $4 so I have started Wizard for Hire.  I like it so far.  Only a few chapters in right now.  Also picked up a few by Tad Williams.  The War of the Flowers, two Otherland Series books,  River of Blue Fire and Mountain of Black Glass, and Shadowmarch all in hardcover and all like new.  Total bill was like $8.  Love the library sale.

Completed 20 Questions to Ask if Your Child Has ADHD by Mary Fowler.  Reading Soccer IQ by Dan Blank and Driven to Distraction: Recognizing and Coping with Attention Deficit Disorder from Childhood through Adulthood by Edward M Hallowell M.D. and John J. Ratey M.D..  Not really much fun reading, although very informative.  Has made me more relaxed as I have gained a bit more knowledge of ADHD.  

The Soccer book is fun though.  A lot of good info in one place.  Mostly things I have barked at my players for twenty years but things you don't train.  Just a lot of tid-bits about what to do in certain situations.  It's about using common sense and being prepared for the situation, whatever it is.  Great book for players because it explains in more detail all those little instructions that coaches are constantly giving but  never quite explaining.  Highly recommended.

Finished Dan Browns Inferno.  Another good installment using the Robert Langdon character. 

Also completed Eurogames:The Design Culture and Play of Modern European Board Games by Stewart Woods.  Gave me some new ideas t use in my own game designs. 

Next up? Not sure.  I bought a hard cover copy of the Icewind Dale Trilogy by RA Salvatore at a library sale.  Also picked up a copy of Shadowmarch by Tad Williams at the same sale.  Both books in near new condition ($2 each) and I have never read either.  Other options include the Esselmont outriggers to the Malazan series, the follow up to Wards of Faerie by Terry Brooks called The Bloodfire Quest, or perhaps I'll read a bit more Star Wars as my wife would like me to do.

Completed Wards of Faerie by Terry Brooks.  Started Inferno by Dan Brown.

Just finished Catchers Keeper by JD Spero.  Pretty good.  Inspired by The Catcher In the Rye.  Works on the premise that the author of The Catcher In the Rye is around in the late 70's and actually is present at the assassination of John Lennon.  The man who shot Lennon, Mark Chapman, was apparently obsessed with the book and the author has played with that idea a bit with a little alternate history.  What if the shooter had actually met the author?  Very interesting.  Told from the perspective of the author and his siblings. 

Reading Eurogames: The Design, Culture and Play of Modern European Board Games, by Stewart Woods. 

Finshed Words of Radiance.  I thought it was great.  I've heard a lot of complaint about pacing and stuff but I didn't have that problem.  I thought it moved along fine.  For such a large book there was enough in each  chapter to keep the story moving.  I now have a need to reread Warbreaker.  I was going to just go and look up some info I think related to WoR but found myself starting from the beginning.  Forgot how much I enjoyed Lightsong.

Finished reread of The Way Of Kings and started Words of Radiance.  Also finished Characteristics of Games.  Wards of Faerie will have to wait.  Forgot how much I enjoyed WOK.  So far I am enjoying WOR as well. 

Finished Tisman's The Game Inventors Guidebook and now onto Characteristics of Games by George Elias, Richard Garfield, and K. Robert Gutschera.  Eventually I will finish Wards of Faerie.  Been really into the game design books lately as I have been working on a few of my own. 

Just completed The Kobolds Guide to Board Game Design by Mike Selinker.  Pretty interexting and actually very helpfull as I am trying to complete a game of my own.  Currently I am reading Brian Tinsman's The Game Inventors Guidebook.  Again, very helpful.  Also reading Wards of Faerie by Terry Brooks.

Done with the Hunger Games trilogy after completing Mockingjay.  All in all not too bad.  Actually saw the Hunger Games movie.  Funny how much they changed since I didn't find the books all that detailed or full of fluff. I think someone who has seen the film but not read the book would not have really picked up on the real motivations for why Katniss does everything she does and you really miss out on the internal dialogue she has about the other characters. 

On to the newest Terry Brooks Shannara additions, The Dark Legacy of Shannara, Wards Of Faerie.  

Finished the second Hunger Games book, Catching Fire.  Not bad.  Ending was abrupt.  On to the third.

Finished Digital Fortress and Deception Point by Dan Brown and The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins.  Browns stuff is fast paced and fun.  The Hunger Games was ok.  Definitely for a younger crowd.  Have to see the movie now and see if it's bad or if the visualization of the carnage saves it.  I'll probably read the rest of the series now anyway. 

Finished World Without End by Ken Follett.  It was awesome.  As good as Pillars of the Earth I think.  Highly reccomend them both. 

Next up is Digital Fortress by Dan Brown.  I have enjoyed the Robert Langdon stories and figured I might like these as well.

I had forgotten how dull that book was.  Finished The Prince.  On to World Without End by Ken Follett.

Done with The Invisible Man and on to The Prince by Niccolo Machiavelli. 

Completed Stewarts The Wicked Day, which concludes her Merlin Saga.  Nearly finished with The Invisible Man by H.G. Wells.  Not sure where to go next. Maybe the follow up to Pillars of the Earth, World Without End, by Ken Follett.  The wife wants me to read a few more Star Wars books.  Maybe.  They are quick reads but get a liitle repetitive.
