Heh. I'm not sure how much of her accent is her own and how much she is putting on! It's actually not as twangy and slurred as I imagined. Or more specifically it doesn't twang in quite the way I'd imagine.

I'm English, so to me Americans have a twangy slurred accent, but some are more slurred than others. I imagined the Seanchan sounding like Southerners US or possibly Irish. This girl certainly doesn't sound like either of those though (I wonder what accent Robert Jordan had in mind?) although her performance is cute. (I don't mean that in a derogatory way.) Actually she seems to have a middle-eastern quality to her voice if anything. Listen to how she says 'leader'. "Leadr".

I like it! Had to listen to it a couple of times to make out what she was saying. That's how I imagine it would be. On that note, I wonder what the audiobook Seanchan sounds like.

Kate Readings Seanchan accents in the audiobooks are...distinctive. They are slow and slurred, like all the Seanchan are intoxicated. I love them. She does it the same way I voiced it in my head, but better. I read that they should sound southern american, but I like my Seanchan drunk.

As for the accent, I believe the Seanchan should sound like a Southerner who happens to be a bit drunk.

Epic! This will definitely give my group an extra chuckle before we set off for the semi-long drive to Provo tonight... I would like to note that this is the VERY first campaign add or campaign add mock-up that I have truly liked. My vote shall, of course, go to the Empress (may she live forever!).
