the 'too eager' comment might be even more funny than i first thought.. like, you call me too eager but then your reads are too eager, so i'm like lol because you just implied hypocrisy was a vice, and now you're a hypocrite!

it's amazing.

Note to everyone reading this.

Passive aggressive when under pressure indicates scum, basic tell.

no, lol.

i'm just laughing at your posts. so much irony.

unlike you? i don't think hypocrisy is a crime, not when there is so much nuance in mafia.

and why is (2) most likely?

Because I assume that people are interested in playing the game if they sign up for it.

Automatically assuming the worst in people is not something I do, which are the two other options.

dice says he was busy. what can you do?

And I explained that ISO-ing me would take about as much time as writing his post. Do you actually read what I post or do you just push an agenda at this point? It seems too basic, man.

Passive-aggressiveness continues, scumdar going off the charts.

that sort of thing tends not to matter as much to people who aren't invested in the game. they'd rather just respond instead of think about stuff imo. i know dice is one of those people sometimes.

i'm academically curious. how is it passive aggressive if i'm not mad?

I can make a loving statement when I'm hateful.

I can make an angry statement when I'm glad.

I can make a passive aggressive statement when I'm content.

My state of mind does not impact the statement in any way at all.

Then you think that either #1 or #3 of my analysis is true. I can't fault you for it since I have no prior experience with the person in question.

In either case, it's a detriment to town. I'm sticking with #2.

Night person mod signing off... morning person mod should be along in far too few hours for my personal preference

Try not to burn the place down while we're both asleep.

Your state of mind does affect how you read someone's statement however. i bet you expect me to be mad, so i sound mad to you. but i'm not. i'm laughing all the way.

I separate myself from the text I'm reading, my mood doesn't sway my conclusions.

You can be laughing with joy or fuming with anger, it makes no difference to me. What I do see is typical scum passive aggressiveness.

What's all this about feelings anyway? I never brought it up, so why would you?

Posted

i brought up how i'm feeling to illustrate how it's not meant as passive aggressive, and to say I don't even understand how it might be interpreted as such, but maybe all that is happening is you confusing me not taking you seriously with defensiveness.

The two aren't mutually exclusive and often look the same.

Which is possibly why you're hiding behind it. This exchange has been fruitful nonetheless.

you're right i wouldn't take you seriously as either allignment, but i'm town now, so i think you're barking up the wrong tree. =/

and afaict i'm not hiding behind anything. your arguments were absurd but heck, if someone believes them that's their fault.

bruh, you are all over the place. I hate this argument that "this is detriment to town if he's town or if he's scum". Mafia is a freaking game of majority. Leave your reasoning as why you think he's scum otherwise you're just trying egging people on.

I did leave my reasoning, that's what started my exchange with Sili.

Is your contention with me that I evolve and change my reads?

I think it's more that claiming lynching a town that's playing bad or is currently uninvolved in the game helps town is disingenuous and looks like you're just pushing your own agenda.

I don't think he's town, I explained as much.

I laid out the possibilities that I see for his conduct and pointed to which one I think is more plausible. If you think that's disingenuous, I don't really know what to say. I don't think it's possible to be more transparent than I am right now.

My agenda is to lynch scum, it should be public knowledge by now.

PS. Don't think I don't appreciate the shading attempt though, it was nice. DS

You gotta have faith.

Actually I dont. I have no reason to trust you. You dont seem to have any real reasons. All you have is "you gotta have faith"

put in one post plz WHY celeste should be lynched

I did post one of the longest posts this entire game solely dedicated to that purpose.

The fact that you seem to disregard/ignore that is scummy to me.

FoS dicetosser1.

your kidding right?

Im reading in between calls at work. I cant just scroll thru the thread at leisure. I simply asked you to put ure reasons in one single post. and thats scummy to you?

vote Believer

We've caught another one, team.

It's scummy that you disregard one of the longest posts in the game, one of the more detailed posts in the game, with the logic of "I'm busy".

It doesn't take more effort to ISO me than it does to write that question. I'm here to catch scum, so that's what I'm doing.

If you ask me about the case, I'm gonna refer you to my case that I've laid out.

If you then decide that it's my unwillingness to play the game for you that's scummy and not make the effort yourself... Well, that's one way to ensure you're being caught.

that shows that he's not as invested as you'd hope he'd be, but it's not scummy  to not be so engaged.

It is, though.

Breakdown of events:

1. Believer makes a case against Celeste.

2. dicetosser1 questions why Believer is pushing for votes on Celeste. specifically asking for one reason to do as he says.

3. Believer refers dicetosser1 to read his case against Celeste.

4. dicetosser1 refuses and votes Believer.

There are 3 possible extrapolations one can make from this.

1. dicetosser1 is town and lazy and doesn't want to be told to play the game.

2. dicetosser1 is scum and wants to get the easy mislynch.

3. dicetosser1 is town and actually doesn't care.

All 3 of these scenarios are bad for town, but I think #2 is most likely.

Yeah you said you think he's scum but you're pushing for people to vote for him regardless of whether or not they think so just because his play is "detrimental to town".

Now you're putting words in my mouth.

Lets break it down.

1. I think his play is detrimental to town.

2. I think the most logical explanation to this is that he is scum.

3. Therefore I think he should be lynched.

If you agree with 1 and not 2, you shouldn't want him dead. If you agree with 1 and 2 then you should also agree with 3.

If you agree with 1 and not 2 and think this needs further explanation/involvement from dicetosser1 then you should pressure him with your vote.

I never said that you should lynch a townie that is acting detrimentally.
