I don't think you've ever explained why you're so suspicious of Laine, though.

I still think Nin is Scum btw. Just seems that no one is going there and it's almost EoD. And really Wish's defense of her doesn't make me feel that much better about Wish.

[unvote]

[v]wishstork[/v]

I don't think I should townread this Bfg.

Why not?

I've been feeling better about Kat throughout Day 1 and she pushes Wistork Day 2 iirc. I remember Darthe(?)ointing some weird stuff out about her Day 2, but I'm not there yet in my reread

Well I don't know about anything else, but what I do know is that in lenlo, liz, lil, kat, and besie there is 3 wolves or so.

besie seems like town. lil kind of seems like town. and it seems like kat has seph as a strong townread there. Some wolves bus to avoid voting their strong town reads.

Knowing that Lenny was mafia makes it next to impossible that Kat was mafia with her. I'm pretty sure that Kat was the first one to go back to Lenny on D2 and start pointing out the patterns that other people weren't noticing. I know Chris did it too, I think Lily did it after Kat, but I'm pretty sure that Kat was the first one.

Ok Liz, would love your opinion on Chris when you have time as well :)

Have fun!

I'm leaning town on him right now. But I've never seen him play town other than in a weirdly setup turbo.

The last two games I played with him, I thought he sounded ridiculously town, but I was holding back on a full town read on him because there was something that felt missing - I kept feeling like he'd have more "bite" as town than he did. Especially in his reactions to certain players/arguments. It's what kept me from protecting him in Mario Karts when I was the doc.

In this game I'm seeing more of the "bite" that I'd expect. And I don't know that he'd seem as genuinely frustrated as he has been this game if he were scum. But I don't know for sure. So it's an (always) tentative town read for me. I feel more comfortable calling him likely town this game than I did in the other two games.

tl;dr he is acting funny but you still think he is town.

you are very verbose.

How is he acting funny?

I said that he's acting more like I'd expect him to act as town this game, and that's why I'm reading him as more likely town than not.

And yes, I am very verbose. You're not the first person to point this out.

iso on Liz
For some reason my search function sometimes works in weird ways so I’ve added dates to it.

  Reveal hidden contents

Game started 5 Jun. She only started posting on the 7th (keep in mind that this is on my time scale).

7 Jun (D1)
Post #835 is her first. She starts off sounding quite discouraged that she had 42 pages to catch up on.
And even though she sounds disheartened, she still posts light posts like in #839.
And she jumps into the game immediately (#875), using the info already present in the game. This makes me think that she was in total rather annoyed at not having been there for the start of the game, but is trying to play as best she can now that she is there. Towny imo.

Right after saying that though… she says she gives up on catching up in #881... which no longer sounds so good. In the same post, however, she questions dice about his thoughts on zander – which makes me think that she was intending to be active in playing the game even though she was no longer catching up.
Another light hearted post #882 – not alignment indicative at this moment, I think.
#884 – says she was reading zander as town until his to and fro with lilyelzabeth (she quotes the to and fro). Bit odd, but she is just sharing thoughts at this point. Zander wondered about it too, and asked her about it, to which she replied in #888 – a bit harsh, maybe. She posts a “her” instead of “him” which probably means nothing. Also says she’s going by meta.
Fluff #885, #890, #891; light hearted #887
#894 – asks info about the pages she missed but doesn’t really say anything
#896, #897 - good reasoning; asking questions
#899 - says she’s struggling with sili’s train of thought and has little experience with him
#901 - doesn’t say much; says she won’t be able to catch up
#903 - says lenlo makes sense to her when he’s scum
Apparently zander is towny again in #916, with no reason given

Then there’s more posts about how to iso, and she asks questions that are and are not answered. Seems her thoughts were focused on dice, darthe; says to do iso on lily.
#975 – doubts on sili
#982 – has “Lenore” and zander both in town mindset now

8 Jun (D1, N1)
#1513 – comes into thread commenting on the length again so… doesn’t really mean anything
From there on she seems to be pushing Zander, which is fine for a town to do, and on darthe in #1560. If we keep in mind that we only found out their alignments later, this isn’t too strange yet.
This post is quite interesting - #1568 – she questions darthe. What I find interesting is darthe’s comment – he said that if seph is wolf, he’s wrong on bfg.
Avoids answering a question here #1637 but not in a way that’s alignment indicative imo
In #1646 she talks about someone who isn’t in this game. Not sure but I don’t think that’s alignment indicative either. She fixes herself in #1676
#1672 doesn’t completely make sense. She apologises in #1704

I agree with her in #1717 that zander didn’t have very good reasons for wanting to lynch her.
She further pushes zander in #1747 who is one of her scum reads here, I believe, so I see that as towny.
She then shows how tired she is in the following posts… Upon waking up she complains about the number of posts again, and the search function again.
In #1923 she states that her top scum read is seph. The above about zander is then no longer valid. She could just have been pushing him to see his response, although she didn’t strike me as someone who does that. Also possible that she was tired and irritated  that he wasn’t answering her effectively enough. mmm. and with suspicions on lenlo, dice and darthe. The dice and darthe hasn’t changed from the beginning of her posts so that’s consistent.

It’s only the second day she’s posted so I’m not going to think it’s too strange yet. I believe a town would change their mind on someone quite a bit (Something learned from sooh )

9 Jun (N1, D2)
She says she voted seph (#2774). But she did not. However, looking at the last post she posted before leaving, seph was her top scum vote so I believe her when she says that she thought she had voted. Then she goes to bed.

10 Jun (D2)
She’s back and starts the day with a vote on niniel in #3277 – apparently to test out a theory. Who knows what the theory was. She also states that she will stop complaining about the number of posts and asks us to colour questions to her. That did not happen, lol.
Some AtE in #3287 but she did say she was ranting so I accept it as non-alignment indicative.
Then there are some posts where she’s annoyed with the idea of a 24 hour day… and so forth.
She unvotes in #3307 due to a 24 hour day being too short. Still no mention of the theory she had. I don’t think that reason counts. Scummy.
Answers BFG thoughts on her different play in #3310 which seems fine and true. Her annoyance has been clear.
#3311 – finally states her theory, which is weird and makes a bit of sense at the same time. She says she gives up on catching up again.
#3381 – She states that her seph vote has been coming from the beginning. I don’t think I ever saw that though. Maybe I just didn’t notice it. Then on Zander she says she started off reading him town, and then he became scum for her. her reasoning doesn’t really make too much sense, and sounds like omgus. I thought her being tired explained why she was upset with him but, being in a new day and having had time to think about it? well it obviously wasn’t that she was tired. scummy? That being without the fact that we know zander was town. I didn’t take the latter into consideration when saying that this seems scummy.

#3385 – She says she could have “accidentally” helped lynch niniel. Now this, does not make sense to me. You can’t place a vote on someone that you don’t actually want lynched and then go to bed ??? Euhm???
#3525 – she votes dice because of very odd reasons. Apparently if niniel and dice are both scum, then both should have a wagon? According to me, we should lynch one wolf at a time. Get rid of them asap. Knowing what we know now, she saved niniel from a lynch. Knowing what we know now, hallia tried protecting her and failed. Knowing what we know now, saving her from being lynched (even by accident) didn’t help much. Well, she changed to dice for scummy reasons (scummy cause it makes no sense to me), and from there dice was lynched. Who we now know was town.

I agree with her thoughts on Kat’s gameplay here #3546. I think I might have to iso kat when I have time – maybe tomorrow.

11 Jun (D2, N2)
#4197 – states that she hopes that bfg is town
Then there’s some fluff posts… and more of them
#4224 - gives a reason for not wanting to do a reads list. Not alignment indicative imo. She also feels that hallia and sili are town.
#4238 – after bfg also stated the strange dice vote (which I also noted above), she tries explaining it. she says she has been poking him since d1, which is true. but that doesn’t explain why she decided to vote dice because of “if both are mafia then why aren’t both wagons climbing”.
#4245 – she states that she’s going to rethink her town read on wish because apparently wish is playing differently…??? This is an omgus statement, imo. Not sure it’s alignment indicative
I like her questioning in #4248
#4254 – adds bfg to her town reads for raisins
She gets really active in the thread after that. Questioning and answering everyone present, which is towny. She also makes jokes…
#4262 - good and bad reasoning in the same post. Well, not bad, just odd – she adds another reason for going off niniel: “which is why I unvoted her when i realized my test vote could get her killed before I had a chance to test my theory. And the point I was at in the thread, she was L-1 from getting lynched and I was afraid that if people didn't back off of her she'd be hammered before anything could be tested further.” My problem with this is that at L-1 for niniel she voted dice. She unvoted niniel when niniel only had 3 votes (she quoted it herself just before, post #3293); and because a 24 hour day wasn’t enough to test her “theory”. Is this the third time she gave a different reason for the not-niniel/yes-dice vote?

Correction. I checked the thread. Niniel had 5 votes, including liz’s, which is L-3. her unvote makes it L-4. Her reason for “accidental lynch” is a bit better when she was L-3, but in total? Taking into account the other reasons and so forth? meh.

#4282 – votes lenlo. Lenlo did post some odd things there but I’ll iso him after lily.
Gives a relatively good reason on why she made bfg town in #4291.

12 Jun (D3)
Her post #4312 is consistent with her entire gameplay (same reasoning and such). Towny, I think?
In total she seems a lot more confident now – is that alignment indicative? She’s still continuing about how she wants a better search function on DM (lol).
She’s pushing lenlo (#4333 as example), and has sili on her radar (#4334).
She’s asking questions and seems town in #4375
This time, she’s taking her time with voting and thinking it through (example #4440), which is also towny, imo.
She’s taking the time to explain herself properly (example #4443), which I also think is towny…

I’m adding her to the light scum spectrum simply because she seems to be very town today. Has she changed her game to save herself, or has she simply had a bad week (#4444, and she has said she’s felt bad many times previously in the thread) and is only getting into the game now? Is her WIM kicking in? I want to see what she does in the next few days, or at least until D4.

Feel after read/iso: She’s more scummy than town (see the bolded parts in the iso for my reasons). I’ve not seen anything really scummy from her today though… but I definitely add her to my scum spectrum for some of the things on the previous days. The lightly scummy spectrum though – also bolded reason in the iso.

I'm too tired to read this all in detail right now, but on my skim I'll say this - it feels like you either havent' read my posts explaining a good chunk of what you're questioning or you're choosing to ignore them. Because I feel like I've answered a lot of this already.

This specifically :She could just have been pushing him to see his response, although she didn’t strike me as someone who does that." I've pretty much outlined that I'm exactly that kind of player. If you read my whole conversation with BFG about my playstyle,  I pretty much outlined that that's exactly how I play.

With the vote on Niniel I explained that I backed off of the test after I saw that there was a chance the day would be 24 hours instead of the 48 I expected. I'm used to games where the day lengths are set from the start and only voted on once there's only a few players left. so yeah, I'm scrambling to adjust my play a lot culture-wise in this game.

And I'm really getting annoyed (correction I AM really annoyed) at people using my low energy and activity from the first two days of this game when I've made it clear multiple times that my posting volume has nothing to do with my alignment, it has to do with my health and the time I had available. My typical play as either alignment is to be a postwhore in the thread. I wasn't able to play my normal play in this game the first two days, and it's frustrating that people keep bringing it up like it means anything either way.

What happened there

That reasoning would make sense IF Wish were in danger of being lynched at that point. But she wasn't, if I'm recalling correctly -- I actually saved all the vote count posts so I can look back at this for sure, but I remember making a note that it was highly unlikely that Kat and Lenny could be scumbuddies based on the timing of Kat's flip of the attention onto Wish. It's ridiculous to think that a mafia member would sacrifice any team member like that when they didn't have to, when that scum partner was nearly lynched the day before and turning attention to them when other people were up to lynched could get them close to a lynch again.

I didn't get the impression that DM was a site where people bussed partners just for the sake of bussing...

i've seen many people bus more than that. it's hardly unlikely. in fact it depends a lot on the person and the context. =/

i might come to the same conclusion as you, but i'd go about it a different way.

Then you're saying you "changed your mind" (suggesting that you were suspecting her) and it looks "a little good" she didn't keep her vote on nin to spread out the wagons....

do you think i cleared kat or something?

or that i was merely saying that i can't town read her push day 1 on wish?

perhaps you think not suspecting someone at a given moment is equivalent to town reading them?

whatever the case is.

i am more suspicious of you than I am of kat.

I bolded the parts I equated to funny.

Are you generally verbose or more verbose this game?

1. How are those things funny?

2. You've met me before

I unfortunately don't remember.

Funny in the figurative loose sense. acting 'funny', as in different.

You don't remember tangoing with me in Mafia Karts? Should I be incredulous or insulted?

As for the "acting funny" part, if anything he was "acting funny" to me in the previous two games, which is why I was less comfortable with my town read in those games than I am now. It would/should be hard for you to have missed the fact that Chris and I are close friends outside the game and I know him pretty well and have talked to him pretty extensively about his approach to mafia and his history in mafia. So yes, calm Chris leans more scum to me (especially after the past two games) whereas aggressive Chris leads more town. He'll never be a 100% town read to me because I know what he can do. You choosing to describe it as "Chris acting funny" is you putting words in my mouth.

i've seen many people bus more than that. it's hardly unlikely. in fact it depends a lot on the person and the context. =/

i might come to the same conclusion as you, but i'd go about it a different way.

Under what circumstances have you seen someone bus?

Kat wanted Niniel dead from early D1 but then suddenly shifts to go after Lenny when Lenny wasn't in danger otherwise. You're telling me that you expect her to bus that way?

So considering I'm on borrowed time: don't let Laine slide. Feeling town still on Kat, BFG, Clov and Len still

I don't think you've ever explained why you're so suspicious of Laine, though.

I did like...three times.  Since then, she's been in eternal catch up.

could you restate it if it's easy?

or is it just that she's in eternal catchup which is not that big of a surprise for laine, and i remember that a few ppl were in a similar situation not a long time ago.

Sorry...:(

Is it just because she's been behind?
