in particular what i do not like right now is that before the mks calder was all, celeste is definitely town guys, def not a derpwolf, and then after the mks he gives up on everything. he doesn't even say let's not lynch celeste on the off chance we can win. nope - doesn't say anything about how celeste is about to be lynched at mylo, and how she is indeed town.

Bc the shrinking pool of players cant make someone doubt their read?

 

My vote is never going on Celeste. I may be wrong and that worries me more than yesterday. But, I am not going to pretend my enthusiasm is the same when the game is now essentially over.

i thought it was too opportunistic, but idk. you and darthe also thought like calder with regards to allana. i was the only one who said it made sense under certain circumstances.

 

 

If by certain circumstances you mean a world where Alanna had broadcasted considerable doubt about Liz, sure.  My hangup was never that she was claiming to have vigged who most people trusted strongly.  It's she claimed to have vigged who most people seemed to have trusted strongly and Alanna didn't really go out of her way to disagree.

I think there is 3p because most basic setups have a neutral role.

 

 

This isn't even remotely true.  Even if it were, how are you making your decisions about who fits?  Before, you said Darthe and I were likely.  Now it's Calder and I.  How do people go from your strongest town/mafia reads to your most likely 3P candidate without doing anything?

It's a matter of tone and the thread flow. This isn't my best game but I see a lot more than I usually see when I'm playing in a pissed off state.

i was referring to before her claim about her emotional behavior. the claim was obviously bad and everyone picked it apart, and was a big reason why i didn't let myself reconsider her even though i wanted to.

Then we agree to disagree.  If you want to say she had a right to be upset with how some people were treating her, I'll probably side with you.  But I'm not exactly known as a beacon of calmness in games...well, maybe I am since I refuse to go Full!Clov on anyone...and I've never been able to talk to somebody like they're my favorite person while simultaneously fantasizing about stabbing someone's eyes out.

It's not exactly like that. It's more like you want to get away from being very emotional so you focus on someone who is not a part of why you are distressed.

I think tone absolutely helps find mafia.  But you gave literally the easiest answer in the world to drop.  That's my problem with using tone as a justification (and I realize I've become increasingly reliant on it over the past ~year, so people can call me out for it if they want) - just saying "tone" is ambiguous and doesn't show your thought process.  Do you actually believe I have bad tone?  I dunno  Do you actually believe IR does?  I dunno.
