Some posts are bad enough to merit scumleans all on their own. Do you even know who the man known as Clovdyx is? He's like Robocop and John Roberts fused into one mind.

Like I said earlier, I don't claim to be able to read him correctly all the time.

I have read him correctly in the past though. I also don't think his 'stunt' with Leelou was as bad as some are making it.

I might sponge later but for now I'd lunch someone else.

How I picture Yates now:

Not too far off.

Except I'm using a laptop.

And lounging in the spare room bed.

And I'm handsomer.

Those notes seem useless though. Does that help you? Don't you just remember stuff that bothers you?

These notes make sure I don't forget things that get my interest in context that might be meaningless in ISO.  And no, I don't remember stuff that bothers me.  I have vague recollections but unless I write them down?  Psh.  I could be thinking about a different game.

Anyway.  Had dinner.  Now I'll see about getting 10 more pages in before going absent until Monday.

Tom can we just lock each other in at this point and never let Spaceballs happen again?

This post feels genuine.

Fwiw I feel this is scum!Wombat realizing the two power townies have recognized each other ITT.

you two are like two armchair-villains talking in a room. you dont mess with that.

Tom and I often talk Mafia over cognac and cigars.

right, yates is anti-me and i dont like that... but he seems villager from the way his conjecture is so unabashed  and loose. i mean obviously he scanned 10 pages and is filling in holes in his knowledge with sod (generalizations being abundant), but as long as he's honest about that it's cool.

FTR I don't find the display of notes particularly villagery, I'd say it's slightly wolfy if anything, because I've posted my notes as proof of my towniness and scum when I first started playing here and Hoya on POG did the same as a wolf in a recent game when he wasn't able to keep up with the thread in real time. Spending more time taking notes than contributing isn't impressive to me.

True, notes aren't very impressive, but i feel like most scum would try acting town before resorting to double wifom. My read of Yates says this especially so, because he seems like the person who would try just a little harder to rub off the right way.

Well, my read of him from like one post.

This is fun. Why do you think that?

Intuition, but if I had to point to a thing I would say his semi-serious and irreverent tone combined with unabashed attitude in framing me in a negative light.

If he was scum and really trying to pull one out from underneath you his post reads as a little excessive on the jokes.

Sorry, made a mistake with that last sentence :: and now thinking about it i want to add more ::

If he was scum and really trying to pull one out from underneath you, his post reads as a little too excessive on the jokes or crude conjecture for my tastes. 1 joke midway through. 5 lines and one joke to express honesty. Explanation is short by about a sentence.

Yates feels like a loose-cannon. I don't think loose-cannons tend to play gambits unless they're really bored.
