What puts TI greenish blue for me is Hally insisting on the Despo/TI fight being town on town. She tends to be right on these sort of judgements.

I think Hallia tends to townread people too easily sometimes myself /shrug

It's very close to the one in my head except the post Arsis made to me last night about his his magic feels felt genuine. So he's more like a "wait and see" than a lynch ASAP.

I think know which post you're referring to and yea I liked Arsis lately too. My take is that he's reacting good to pressure, but that he's still scum.

Despo, I'd love to see a Yates case. I don't see why you're redlining him.

Can't do a case atm. Bout to pass out. Yates is a slimy soafemaledog tho

When he says something I agree with I'll say I think he's town. I'm sort that he's active and makes sense?

Are you saying I'm shallow and merely following along behind him?

no i am NOT saying you are shallow.

Simply that lately it seems and i could be wrong but this is how it seems to me that you ALWAYS agree with tommy.

I will always listen to what you have to say except in regards to tommy at the moment. I think its like you put rose colour glasses on when he is mentioned. You arnt the only one i do this to. I ignore Turin about Ithi as well.

You ignored my other comment. What do you think of other people? Let's get some reads out there eh?

Also re:Tommy - show me where I've been wrong on him? EVERY time I've defended him he's given me a reason to do so, and it's ended up being right. It's not rose-colored if it works.

I've seen you be wrong about Tommy twice before (defend him as town when he was scum) and also seen you defend him or agree with him when you were scum AT LEAST once. So fwiw while I think your slot is town, I actually agree with Dice here. I don't think you read him objectively, I think you tend to autoread stronger players or town leaders as town. Tommy's not the only one tho I DO think you are fond of him and Cory in particular.

Also- brown chicken brown cow @ your earlier poke at me. I'm such a pushover

I don't like how he is focusing so much on himself again- granted he did this last game and ended up being town, but I really feel he woulda learned his lesson here.

Really? After however many years of playing mafia like this you think I'm going to change my meta/play style overnight?

Maybe you just need to change the way you read me. That's a lot less effort for me.

Also didn't like how Yates tried acting like he doesn't make good points as town when defending himself from Tommy- the town!Yates I know would be very unlikely to admit something like that, he aint got ego or swagger like Tom but he's certainly no slouch and doesn't think of himself as one.

Did I say I don't make good points as Town? That post wasn't about my ability. Tommy claimed I do X as Town. I asked him to show me when I did X to back that up. Pretty straightforward mafia play question.

Speaking of mafia play, it's also why I'm "pushing" on Tommy. When *I* see something off about a player, I ask them about it. Tommy looks different from his past games and I want to know why. I'm not going to ignore it because "it's Tommy."

My concern in this game is all the free passes people seem to be [or claim to be] handing out to Tommy for no apparent reason. There is literally zero reason, as far as I can see, to have Tommy any higher than a Town lean at best. You guys with your "lock clears" are smoking the wacky tobaccie if you think he is somehow playing outside of his scum range. That's how Cory skated to scum victory in the first game I played with these two. So yeah, I'm pretty aware of how destructive those "lock clears" can be when they are based on nothing and turn out to be wrong.

With all of that said, you'll notice I haven't actually moved my vote off Krak. Yet. To be frank, I'd rather not lynch Tommy on Day 1 because I respect his Town game if he's Town. But if I'm not satisfied with why his game is off or I start seeing more - for lack of a better word - oddness from his slot, I'll probably start a lynch push there.

If I have to take some flak for being contrarian? So be it. I'd just like to win.

Yates I wanna lynch you right now

Talk me out of it if you're a villager?

Talk everyone else into it if you're a villager. I'm an open book. You have a weird look. That's that.

I keep telling you I'm not slimy. I just moisturize!

Last time you were right on a Yates read - go.

Yates if you made a reads list like csarmi and Des what would it look like from towniest to scummiest

I don't make reads lists like csarmi or Des. Certainly not on Day 1, anyway. That's bush league and a great way to introduce wifom if you are NKed.

I wanna see it anyway. Leaving a vote on Krak is weak, so who else would you lynch? Who do you think is highly likely to be town? Give me the strong leans. Give me accountability.

Give me accountability.

Because you're afraid I won't do this organically? Because I'm typically a wall flower? Because I keep my opinions to myself? Not really sure what your motivation is but I'm not interested in doing busy work for someone that I'm not happy with at the moment.

You still haven't explained why you didn't even bother to question TSB after noticing he's outside of his Town range. Not one post. That's weird to me.

This comment from Tress is in out hydra chat and I think it could be useful:

"Something about Arsis doesn't sit well with me - I think it's the progression of "oh, scum is probably leading the pack because it's easy on D1", then deciding you're scum for not town leading and wanting to go after lurkers. That and his "cory's beer belly" and that weird capitalized bit about coffee, which seemed awkward and I always have to wonder about symp signalling when people make really weird posts like that."

Usually me neither, but it was a great way to summarize our Hydra's thoughts.

I won't be posting for a while. I won't go into details. I'll still kind of be following the game but you'll have to direct any questions to Turin.

Thank you for your undertsanding

No problem Ithi. Wish you the best!

So you're having Despot as a Strong Townread, then?

"Strong" Town? No. But he is in his Town range. Des takes a day or so for me to read.

I second the Wall-o'-Reads request, btw.

Yeah. That's an acceptable rationale. Reading hydras can be like reading Sybil. In a case like that - where you aren't sharing an account - it helps to remove confusion. In general, though? Don't like them. Ignore them when people are dead.

Okay. I've been sort of giving Arsis a pass on his emo outbursts and mostly ignoring them because he went all emo in Dr Who and replaced out of a Town slot. I also had taken note of the black coffee thing and wondered if it was a soft claim. Then I tinfoiled a bit about if black coffee would be a GOOD habit or a BAD habit. When he came back and claimed he WASN'T soft claiming? That struck me as odd. But it was getting late and I was already starting to dig in to my line of questioning on Tommy. I hadn't thought of symp signaling as a possibility. That's actually a good observation right there.

Have to reread Arsis now.

Like, Scum NEED that one Wall to discern who is the Hit that will Maximize Chaos? No wai.

You don't know me very well. But yes way. Also, I'm lazy and selfish and don't want to share my toys. ALSO, we can talk at night here. I don't know if you are used to having night talk - it was freaking STRANGE to get used to - but yeah, that happens here.

If you want to know about a specific person later? Just ask.

I believe Tress meant this line specifically as a possible signal:

"Complains that he got flak last game for defending himself too much and now gets flak for defending himself too little. "I Still Haven't Had My Cup Of Black Coffee This Morning" - all capitalized, also looks out of place."

Posted

@Yates - the reason wasn't to clear up potentially confusion. We just had enough of a PoE put together to be of use and it made sense to summarise our reads (for ourselves as well) so I did it.

Posting full reads list just for the same of posting full reads list is something I tend to find scummy and useless.

I agreed above. The capitalization is what made me think he was soft claiming. But since he has claimed he was NOT soft claiming, signaling is a valid concern.

... And I still haven't found

What I'm looking for

Good catch.
