SP said it in a very confident "here's my trump card and contribution to the game" sort of way, like "my work here is now done." Matches his blasé attitude this entire game. I mean I really hate the kind of claims that wait till they are about to get lynched and then go "IF YOU LYNCH ME IMA BLOW THIS GUY UP. SWEARSIES."

 

Because that kind of fear mongering always tends to come more from a scum mindset then a town one.

 

I also can't help but paranoid that he actually is telling the truth about his role and I don't know if I want to risk the game on lynching him and having him shoot someone stupid causing us to end the game in possibly the most runbad of conclusions I've seen in mafia in a looooong time.

Pral scum flip all but guarantees Krak is scum with the way Pral latched onto my "Krak is town from D2 wagons" post and later used it to say why Krak was still a townie

Though I guess I can understand a town mindset behind it being that a townie would potentially be inclined to do so as to not waste their ability because they want to utilize the full potential of their role, which could also explain why a person would want to wait so long to claim, and could also explain why a person would want to wait to claim until last minute and shoot someone on their wagon in the hopes they nab a wolf.

 

The problem I can see with that is that it's so high variance it's almost not worth it.

FTR I believed the claim. The timing was good and it sounded sincere and I had a meta town lean on SP for a while before the claim.

 

I'm sketch on it.  Dice and SP have almost zero early game interaction.  Also, Dice explains thing in thread to SP such as the LD comment in post #2313.  Dice defends SP (post #2325) a bit early but also makes commentary about how SP doesn't get the troll type humor that seems odd to me if they share a Mason QT and makes more sense if they share a scumQT and are trying to look unconnected in thread.

 

Also, I have SP and Dice as both being on potential mafia teams, but not with eachother.  Seeing how they mostly avoided each other and made the few comments they did makes me tinfoil even harder on them pulling a gambit especially now that the cop is dead and can't check the claim to get a 2 for 1.

Our QT is fairly quiet. you know how SP hasnt been a real prescence here? well he hasnt been in the QT either and i hate talking to myself.

 

basically you will see that I ALWAYS came down on the SP is Town side of the fence when talking about him.

 

why the hell would i do anything to point out my mason partner early on in the game? thats just dumb. SP and i had a myndmeld actually. I was gonna claim when he did but he beat me to it. Only difference is i wasnt gonna tell my partners name if i could avoid it.

It's very apparent to me based on POE alone that one of you is scum if not both. In the last hour you have become much more likely scum than Yates. Shooting you would be better than shooting Yates ~always. Am I wrong about that? If you were me what would you think?

#FullDarthe: it's intuitively obvious that Yates and Pralaya are scum together and this is a hidden bastard mod mechanic that ends the game early if one scum hammers the other. I am assuming that Yates is actually a Hammer Governor and Pralaya is a Vengeful Poisoner that activates only after being paradoned by his scum partner governor. If Pralaya is hammered by a townie the scumteam will lose a teammate and a poisoning and that is why Yates is so insist on hammering. If you'll notice, Yates has the grim reaper as his avatar while Pralaya has Rorschach -- this symbolizes the ambiguity of Pralaya's claim and how Yates is both the Bringer of Death and the Keeper of Death and he can take life at Night or spare it at the end of Day. Pay attention to how Yates capitalizes the first letter of each sentence, much like Pralaya. They both have a habit of ending paragraphs with periods -- an allegory for the punctuation of their Reign of Terror through abstract psychological means.
