I never even brought up the Avengers game - YOU did - in your defense to try to make it seem like my interpretation of Darthe's reaction to Tommy was null indicative.

I really disliked Darthe's OP and the sarcastic tone he took. He immediately opened defensively (not a scumtell in itself) but in a non-serious manner and posted some other fluff before disappearing from the thread completely. Kind of puts me on edge.

Do you think it's scummy that Darthe posted in the beginning of the game and hasn't been around since? If so, why?

 

As far as Darthe coming out on edge with a "sarcastic tone," I'm ascribing null value to it. He took the lion's share of blame and hate for the Town loss in Avengers. Some of that seems to have carried over. Do you disagree that this situation is likely to shape his posts regardless of alignment?

Ah. Post 1243. I pretty much forgot about that after 1368. Again, that post wasn't actually about Darthe but how you arrived at what we perceived as a lurker lynch candidate. I felt like 1368 was better than "because lurker" and moved on.

re AFK tells: Not necessarily. However, HOW he posted and then the added absence certainly didn't give me good vibes.

 

re Tone: Agree to disagree. Sure, it's possible this has some affect on him but I'm not going to invest a ton of value into it purely because that would be a huge assumption. I think the interaction looks a bit forced. Darthe read as taken off guard by Tom being ~aggressive out the gate with him and responded in a jokey manner to possibly diffuse the tension. This would fit imo with Darthe knowing Tom was town and wanting to avoid conflict out of the gate.

While your "look how right I was in hindsight shtick" is fun for you, I'm sure, it's also causing you to misread this slot. So I'm pointing it out because you need to be aware of what you are doing.

I'm just a little peeved because this game started on a weekend while we were both out of Town and the deadline didn't give us enough time to read up [like 50 pages of mostly garbage and the Des/Tommy TvT thing] and get our arms around this game. Also, I'm starting to get dialed in as I catch up. I'm at least at my replace in post now so the rest should be a little quicker.

My only thoughts regarding most of this activity is town violence. I see Lenlo and Darthe lurking super hard along with key (though there was an excellent post regarding, so moot). I find it interesting TGlems can stop in, make a post/vote and the lynch wagon takes off..../much ponder 

 

I'm just not convinced of Depsot's scummyness, but I have no interest in a no lynch.  His spaz reaction regarding Tommy and Hallia (alleged PR outing) was not scummy.

 

I like reading the posts and rereading the thread seeing each post as town and again as scum (the poster that is). Changes the flavor.
