I mean the Cory thing was stupid and I should have read the thread before condemning him, but he was acting like scum Cory for the first few pages and I got cocky and thought I could nail him ASAP because I was like 4/4 on him in the past month. My bad on that front.

 

BUT MY TOWN READS SHOULD BE SOLID.

Honestly I don't get quite a number of your town reads.  You marked several people as TOTALLY LOCK CLEAR with really little to go on, went back and forth on most of your town reads and seem to be okay voting with a group of people who are ??? but actively critical of those who call you on anything.  That's dead opposite to good town behavior and is counter-intuitive to boot.  

 

Oh and RTE is scum.  You've never even acknowledged any of that.  Other people have been quoting stuff this whole time, such as when Wombat noted both times that he scum-slipped and how when he was called out on it he disappeared and hasn't been seen since.  Disappeared without warning btw, as opposed to those who have said "gotta go" and left such as Nyn, myself, Dap and Des.

Speaking of Tsuki- someone quoted an earlier post of mine so I DO remember some early stuff about him that looked questionable (the way he was handling Dawn early on)

 

So if Wombat actually might be town here, Tsuki can take his spot.

 

And in case Tommy actually DOES flip town, then yeah Mynd will look more questionable in my eyes, for the stuff Tommy pointed out about that Napoleon Dynamite gif (mebbe one of the few times Tommy made any actual good point this game)

Also Des: my unique perspective here has revealed to me that between Darthe and Wombat, Wombat has been playing both sides far more and has this general "haha you idiots" smarmy nature to his posting, like he's laughing at the town.

 

Darthe has been posting so furiously that despite me disagreeing with him a lot, he is more likely to be town. Never seen him give even a tenth of this much effort as scum.

 

Please keep a firm eye on wombat when I die, and the other on Mynd.

Likely?  That's gotta be like the 20th time you've said I am likely town this game.  It leaves you wriggle room.  I call BS.  63 pages of me fighting you should leave you with a definitive read but your read of me is floating in the wind.

Btw Des I didn't mean to like publicly shame you just now, but it's been on my mind and you really just were so gossamn stubborn in this game even while I was defending you for being classic Des.

 

You're trivially easy to manipulate when I'm scum and you're a huge cantankerous distraction to town when you're town. You don't like to adapt and learn from your mistakes. You remember all the successes and none of the errors. That's a bad habit. I have awful awful games and I try to learn from it. It's part of why I went for town reads first instead of scum -- don't wanna push someone really hard without being totally sure. (Except Cory cuz we have this weird rapport, but like I said, that was my bad and I own it.)

 

So I hope you at least take my reads into consideration after I die and I hope you'll work on your bad habit of spinning every single thing someone says into being scummy. You REALLY say the most ridiculous stuff sometimes and I dunno how you find the stuff that you do scummy. Often, it's not, it's just disagreeing with you.

I got ninjad there but for the record yeah, Des has some flaws in his play that make him predictable and he is loud instead of being more subtly tactical.  It works for him so while it is something that I have long said is what keeps him from being "one of the greats" I don't think it actually inhibits him, just doesn't make him famous.

I really don't understand the resistance to this concept. I change my mind constantly, sometimes from post to post. I'm rarely 100% sure.

 

 

And Des, it's almost impossible to take you seriously when you're espousing baby reads like "Tom and Red are lock scum together LAWL!" When 1) neither of us are scum and 2) you're assuming scum acts so amazingly simplistically that you can make level 0 associative reads when I am NEVER that easy to spew read when I'm scum and you shouldn't be making crappy associative reads like that on D1 anyway.

 

You play like everything is black and white in a game about LYING. Learn how to deal with shades of gray or remain a passionate but mediocre player.

 

I hope you do man, cuz then you'll be more fun to play with.

It inhibits him because he gets so focused on one scum read that he starts calling everyone who has a positive interaction with that player scum by association and then he's alienated himself from most of the thread by pissing off innocents.

I know it's difficult to separate newbies and scummy townies from scum, but you have to WORK AT IT. I feel that I've really improved on this front in the past 6 months and I see myself as a defender of those weaker townies. Hence: my blue list. I think it's really solid. PLEASE take it into consideration. I've tried hard to clear players that will be difficult to clear otherwise.

Fair enough. Maybe it just feels stupid to me because I would be digging my own grave if I was scum defending scumbro RTE. It would be better to say "meh" about it, wait a day for everyone to forget he exists, then push someone else who "slips." I certainly would not repeatedly pound my fist into the wall and scream about how much I think he's town. He's not that strong a player, it's not worth the exposure.

Shiiii- I've defended newbies way better than you.  RTE isn't remotely new and is entirely scum.  Tsuki looks terrible and isn't remotely new either, those two are probably between 9 months and a year and a half in each.  TG isn't new at all, he has been here a long time.  Know who is new and obviously a townie newbie?  Dawn.  They aren't remotely hard to clear when they post (newbies and less advanced players), there just isn't much positive in RTE's/Tsukis posts and TG/Laya hasn't been around much.  I think those are all of the people that you tentatively cleared that one could think are new.

So. Adding to this, the timing of Wombat turning on me overnight after I read the thread and tried clearing those scummy townies was conspicuous and his turn around feels forced.

 

Who the hell gets mad when someone is clearing townies?

I know.  Has me hesitating but in and of itself the fact that we are both aware of this makes the whole thing WIFOM, hence I stuck to my convictions and strengthened my resolve on the matter.  It's how I ever get lynches to go through considering how easily swayed I am in general.  Hell, even now when I know I won't change my mind without a flip on you both I am listening to what you say.
