@Mynd we can agree to disagree on this but when I have almost all of my anti-town reads voting someone together I am more likely to think that person town.  It strengthened my read on him the way others behaved and if they were to flip town it would subsequently weaken my read on him.  Nonetheless I like your fluidity this game and the above was a good post.

The fallacy of this argument from beginning to end is incredible.  You expect to be read as town when you are town?  Nothing inherently entitles you to a town read and pretending that we all should automatically treat you that way inherently makes you look more like scum.  You're pretending to be town in the hopes that if you do it with enough conviction we will eventually just call you it.  You have three players in this game chosen from all over the internet to represent the most advanced players around and all three are calling you scum so the second point about "higher caliber" players is elitist and false, not to mention that some here have been playing almost half as long as the game has been around online.  You haven't 180'd positively on anyone who you disagreed with so that's a front.  You have less incentive to call Dap scum than you could find of most players if you read the past 51 pages unless your reads are so flimsy that you can't find more than one post on anyone else to vote them over?

My lock list is my 95%ers.  I build them quick and I keep things fluid.  Yeah, it apparently does mean something different if you think it actually is LOCKED.  I'm saying that I would have to see a TON of stuff pop up to convince me Dap was scum at this point since, as you said, none of us can really be 100% sure.  Having a truly Locked list would be bad town play, this is just so sure that I will not be lynching them today an not in the future without something actively affecting my position.

Red, you should have been all over RTE regardless.  The Despo-Cory-Tommy crap was big, but you didn't have a dog in that fight.  Why would that distract you? 

 

Also, I think you speak of an unrequited bromance that has gone one way.  Please point out where I am returning any kind of bromance back at him.  Like with our scum agreement, it works the same way as town.  Just because I believe Despo to be likely town doesn't mean 1) it can't change based on new info and 2) I believe everything he says without question.  One could argue that you and Tommy should get a room.

1. Not a big fan at all of you calling out the players who is voting against you as bad players. It's bullying people to take your side to be viewed as "good players". I can't tone read you so I'll judge on your gameplay. so far it's been scummy, so you are in my scum pile. Easy as that. analyzing the Dap case, atleast what i could peace together.  some parts might be missing as i did this as i was catching up rather than going over the thread with a fine tooth comb.

 

overall i have to say Dap going at Len like that still reeks, but town's can do reeky things.  his wagon OTOH built ubber fast and some votes on him make my hair stand on end (like Mynd and RTE's)

 

on the flip side, i dislike Daps disappearing act when the bullets started flying his way, and Darthe is pushing hardcore for it and plainly my gut is saying not to trust Darth atm.

 

 

TL;DR version ...  too much WIFOM and not enough info to make him a viable lynch candidate for today, espeially with better candidates like Despo skiving by without any pressure.

Well, sucks what Cory did and what happened with him. FWIW, I had a scum read on him till the point he quoted his role PM. Mainly because he was emo way too early on the game. Like he did in Real Genius. But which he didn't do in Buffy (not so early)

That said, as of now, my two suspicions.
 

 

Also, people seem to be taking RTE's OP out of context and I think that's why the votes on him started.  It's null imo.  His reaction to the pressure has been kinda crappy imo, but that
's also kinda null for me atm as RTE is pretty scummy and flippant every time I see him play.  Kind of like a more spastic Lenlo.

Dap is both unwilling to clear people yet doing everything he can to remind people that he's busy and shouldn't be judged for his absence (despite saying he'd have a lot of free time coming up). Posts like "That doesn't mean you aren't as well..." are just abysmal and I really hope he isn't town or his approach to the game is soooo level zero that he should really know better by now.

Thats the thing.  I think he was voting RTE to not look scummish but then tried to be sneaky about removing his vote.  If RTE flips scum, it does NOT clear Player and visa versa. 

 

Also, while we are on the subject of Player, I have a gut feeling that HE knows more about Lenlo being frozen.  It's just a gut feeling, but I keep reading his comment about it and it makes me go HMmmmmmmm.

This post is bad, bad, bad. Not only does he bandwagon here, but he eggs on the cory lynch, self consciously acknowledges his wagoning, tries to rationalize it, and then provides scumscuses for his eventual absence, as if anyone cares, followed by a promise to play a lot more.
