Hence why I stay away from most Reality TV. The only ones I watch are because I am hanging with Yveva.

 

And I will not sit through American Idol.

I heard USA is going to start the next season of Nashville Star soon. Pretty dumb if you ask me. They used to wait until March to begin airing it, and it didn't have to go up against American Idol, whereas now it will apparently be running head to head.

 

I foresee a ratings drop.

but some Countryesque Idol contestants have done pretty well. People that might enjoy the concept, but are getting sick of AI might give CI more interest... or may flip back and forth.

It looks like my wife's info was wrong. Nashville Star is on on Thursdays, not Tuesdays, plus last nights episode was the third, not the first.

 

Jewel is hosting it this season.

 

Thursday Nights on USA at 10PM Eastern if anyone is interested. I think my wife's cousin (the one who was a contestant in season 2) is going to perform on the show in a couple of weeks. :)

You know, my bro and sister in law had a setup where they had a tv, and then a little tv on the side where my bro played video games while she watched chickflicks, maybe you could have the HD for your games and I could have a side telly for my very important community building tv-watching :)

I like this idea... except there is no room for another TV out front and it would be a pain to switch cable back and forth.

My wife's cousin, Lance Miller, will be back on Nashville Star on the USA network this Thursday 10 EST. His debut album should be out later this year. :D

and yup, I realized it was auditions, but that's ok because I was a little late. Can't guarantee I will watch on Valentine's day though, it's the first v-day Emp and I have together, first of many!

I was confused that they put through Sundance (was that his name? am I just delusional?) over Tommy (was that his name?) Anyhow, the last two guys. I thought the guy they didn't pick had a superamazing voice. Guess it's one of those casting calls where they already had other crooners and they didn't yet have anyone else who SUCKED. (ooooh I'm a meanie it seems!)

I think there are more male standouts, then female. At least, I'll have to hear the girls sing again before I pick favorites.

 

I like Chris, both because of this funny personality, but also I really like his voice a lot.

 

I also like Sanjaya.

 

I didn't think either Sundance or Tommy should have been in the Top 24. Sundance's voice was not great in Hollywood. And Tommy was a butthole, you could tell, and an idiot the way he was jumping up and down in the elevator. If Sundance can get his performance worked out, I agree with the decision.

I think Tommy deserved to go through even though he was an ass, but I also thought Sundance deserved it. His audition in Memphis was pretty cool. I'm kinda surprised they sent through Phil Stacey and Nick Pedro.

I believe Crackdown is coming out today, so while Empy is gaming I can sneak away and watch some Idol.
