ABC only ordered 13 episodes of Shonda Rhimes’ “Private Practice” this season. My suspicion is it will order no more

 

“Revenge” rattled around between a 2.0 and 2.5 on Wednesdays this year and looked to me like it might not be back this fall. It’s obviously doing much better on Sundays after ABC’s top-rated drama “Once Upon A Time.”

 

So far “Last Resort” is doing better than “Charlie’s Angels,” which premiered at 2.1 in that 8 p.m. Thursday slot, then fell to 1.5 its second week, then 1.2 its third. “Angels” lasted seven episodes.

Last season “Hawaii Five-0” premiered with a 3.4 and never fell below a 2.3. It’s been getting clobbered by “Revolution.”

 

“The Mentalist” is not thriving with its move from Thursdays to Sundays. Last season it never fell below 2.2 and once went as high as 3.0.

 

Last season “The Good Wife” ranged between 1.7 and 2.7.

 

“Vegas” lost a lot of the “NCIS LA” audience and lost to “Sons of Anarchy” last week, but it still beat “Parenthood” and “Private Practice.”

 

“Partners” is doing a poor job of retaining the “How I Met Your Mother” audience, which could hurt “2 Broke Girls.”

“Revolution,” “Go On” and “New Normal” all got full first-season orders this week. Unfortunately “New Normal” seems to be a ratings roadblock preventing the “Go On” audience from making it all the way to “Parenthood.”

 

“Guys With Kids,” “Animal Practice,” "Parenthood" and “Up All Night” all look really vulnerable to my eyes. Will any of them outlast the outgoing “30 Rock”?

 

With “Go On” hobbled by a “Voice” recap show, “The Office” reasserted itself this week as NBC’s biggest sitcom.

 

“Grimm” was Friday’s top show a week ago, so it looks plenty safe.

 

“Rock Center” isn’t doing appreciably worse in the old “ER” timeslot than “Prime Suspect,” “The Firm” or “Awake” did last season.

 

“Community” starts its Friday journey in two weeks.

“New Girl” remains strong as Fox’s top live-action sitcom, but “The Mindy Project” and “Ben & Kate” started weak and are already bleeding viewers.

 

“Raising Hope” premiered with a 3.1 last season.

 

“Mob Doctor” could be the first casualty of the new season.

My bet is, Bob's Burgers is only getting those ratings as people turn to fox waiting for Family guy.
