Oh, I hate those medicated dreams! They're FREAKY!!! I'm so glad you had a night without them! Hopefully there are many more (including this one)!!

How was the walk? Didn't put too much strain on your back, did you?

Yes, I am, the next day. I can turn over without excruciating pain and walk in the house. Sitting is still painful. My staples itch like crazy and they will come out on the 22nd.

No one understands how wonderful that shower feels until they've been there. *hugs* I'm so glad things are going to well for you today! :)

It just feels better to have the staples out. I can sit easier.

yeah, the first one because the doctor prescribed it (didn't want labor to turn into emergency c-section) and the 2nd was a gimme, since I'd had the first. Around here, the only way to have a labor and delivery after a c-section is to have a doctor that is housed at the hospital. Since I love my OB, I'm not switching. *shrugs*

Of course, the 2nd one turned into an emergency C-section, anyway, and three weeks early to boot, but that's another story.

The meds wore off while I was asleep once about 3 days after I came home. Talk about PAIN... *shudders* I couldn't move or breathe!

Yours are being nicer to you, I hope!

Actually I woke up in recovery yelling and crying.... my back had been cut up and I felt it. Something was then shot into my two IV's. I didn't feel the pain control was adequate the first night until I received a Dilaudid injection in my hip.

I had a few spots like that after my surgery, too. It's really frustrating when you can't find your nurse and you're so far off your med schedule that the pain is kicking in. Then you have to wait for it to get back into your system (which is faster in an IV, but still not fast enough!). I had a nurse who was apparently annoyed that I had had to have another nurse (who I think was actually her boss... oops) go find her over an hour after my meds were due. She pushed the fluids into the IV too fast and it HURT like the devil! However, I'd tried to call her when she was just 15 minutes over and got no answer. Tried again at 30 and sent my husband out hunting for someone. Tried again at 45 minutes and still nothing. Finally, we propped the door open and my husband stood in the doorway until he saw someone walk past. Then he nabbed them. *mutters*

I hope you didn't have any of those nurses while you were in there!

I had a very handsome male nurse most of the time. I had some like yours a number of years ago when I had pneumonia.
