Question about the WOT FAQ

This might be the wrong board for this, but none of the other ones looked better. I'm curious whether there are going to be any updates to the WOT FAQ in the near future. If I recall correctly, there was an update planned for it sometime in 2011, but it seems like that never panned out. Any news on the matter?

Yes. Specifically, this:

Aside from fixing typos and other mistakes, the next update of the WOTFAQ is planned for 2011, before the publication of A MEMORY OF LIGHT.

Yeah that's what I thought, havent heard much since then...Terez would probably know.

JenniferL would probably know, as she is responsible for the FAQ now...

Actually, that's a question for me.

The 2011 date for an update was when I thought AMOL was coming out that year. Since it didn't, it wasn't necessary to get it out that year. We'll probably do the update over the summer when I'm off for several months and I've finished my Master's program. I know everyone would like it sooner than later, but realistically, I don't have time to even think about it until after this year's JordanCon.

That answers my question. Thanks!

If anyone is sad over the amount of time we have to wait for an update, keep in mind that I was unemployed the last time I worked on it. I spent about four hours a day, five days a week, for about a month or so working on it last time. Luckily, I managed to find another teaching position and my classes end in June, so I'll have the time to work on it again in a few months.

Funnily enough I was able to dedicate so much time to the Wheel around then because I WAS employed, or more specifically, because my work didn't have blocks on the internet. :D

Yeah, unfortunately for fandom, I have a job that requires me to be mentally present. Otherwise how would I have conversations like the one I had this morning? "What's on your shirt? Why are you covered in frosting? Did you eat frosting for breakfast? Stop licking your shirt!"

Yes, dealing with Jason requires you keep your wits around you.
