This is textbook Lily as scum, IMHO. Showing up after the lynch to "catch up," agreeing with someone, claiming to be lost and not a good player with an excuse as to why she's not posting much...

Yep, agree with that completely..Been scum with her twice and seen it behind the scenes

Not sure what joke I hijacked from Klacko, but at least its a joke... you should look into it.

This. Old. Man.

Um... that one?

And yes, I am well aware of what jokes are. For example, I know that you are a joke.

OOOOOHHH.... BUUUUURRRRRRNNN!!!

Dude you are totally unstoppable right now. You're like NBA Jam right now.

Thank you... the Ape just doesn't appreciate me.

So did all of our excessive posting finally break DM there for a while?

Nah, DM actually stands for "Doing Maintenance".

Why does everyone think that this is a lot of postig? By cracky, back in the day there were posts like locusts over Egypt. Why, I remember the time...

Because pretty much every DMer we've ever had come play on JN always spends their first game talking about how much we post. Granted, you're one of the exceptions to that because like us you never shut up, but that seems to be an uncommon trait around here.

Yeah, this is definitely a good point, and certainly plays into her past tendencies as scum. While I don't expect anything profound under the circumstances, I'm definitely curious to see what she says to that in response.

That's great but there really isn't scum per se. Unless you think you've found the Cult Leader?

Vote John McClane

Nothing he says or does makes any sense. All he's done is confuse the hell out of me. Feel like a family member or cult would want to do that. Lots of wild theories that seemed to be poven wrong, but yet he still finds value in them just like the post above. Plus, since the lynch, he's tried to play nice, talk about changing up this style, etc. Makes me think he ended up lynching his own.

The bottom line with him is, everyone else seems to be playing the game, trying to figure it out and it seems natural. He seems very contrived, like he's trying way to hard. Maybe you guys know him well enough to confirm? Maybe not. He seems to be trying much harder than anyone else to make himself look clean.

I'm going to resist the urge to vote Mccvain for the time being but will HAPPILY circle back if he gets in the danger zone.

I think the houses are essentially operating as scum teams, too. Survivors have to eliminate one of them.

Yeah, this one is a weird situation, but I think there are multiple groups who could still certainly fall into a "scum-like" category. While the cult team is the only group that's really an opponent to everyone, to an extent the factions are kind of scum-like in their setup. Because while survivors can join them, we already know that the factions won't know it when someone does, so they're really each a group on their own that knows that the cult is against them, the other faction is against them and that at any moment any of the survivors could also end up being against them. So unless we get to a point in the game where all survivors proclaim they are pledging themselves to the same team, they're as scum-like as they are anything else.

Granted, we don't necessarily need them all dead the same way we would a normal scum team, but I don't think it's necessarily a bad idea to go in the direction of whoever seems scummiest, because while the best case scenario would obviously be to take out cult, if not that then taking out a faction member (that is, an original one) is certainly a better outcome and gives us more to work with than taking out a survivor.

I get that but I'd rather go CL hunting and hit a member of a house as a consolation prize. I'm not really concerned with who dies for the time being. If not the Ape, I'll take a shot at 1 of the red names in the list I put up last night. Might just get me some cult.

What you've just described is my MO as town. Ape self-preservation... however, the line about "makes me think he ended up lynching his own" jumps out as an over-sell. Every game I've played with Jack has resulted in a D1 like you just saw... and as soon as he's gone, I chill out.

I'm not saying lets do it in this or that order. It would be awesome if Lily turned out to be the cult leader! The cult is the biggest threat to everyone, but also (probably) the hardest to find at this point in the game. If we take out the scummiest players, I think we'll get there eventually.

Agreed, going after the scummiest players is attempting to do exactly what Pac is saying: shooting for the cult leader and if not, possibly getting a faction consolation prize.

because I'm working and didn't go back to look and see if she was hinting at survivor. If I can confirm she hinted before it became all the rage, then I'll revote.

In the meantime gfy...

I think I'm doing essentially the same thing - except I'm targeting the scummiest players and hoping I hit the cult leader. Gives me much better odds.

I thought your post count list was pretty silly. If a guy like McApe were the cult leader, would he all of a sudden drop into the middle of the pack? Of course not! That would be too big a tell. If I was going to look at anyone on that list, it would be JF80 -who's also usually a spambot- but has been very quiet this game.
