As far as I am aware, neither the individual intentions nor the agreed upon plan was told.

Capture Rand or kill Rand could have been equally probable.

 

My guess for why Lanfear invited the 3 was that the 3 held some portion of just 1 mainland country. My guess for not inviting the others was that they did not.

 

I guess that Demandred has been influencing many countries. That I take is why he has not been detected by any Light-sided character.

Had he held just 1 country, I guess he would have done similar actions to those of Sammael/Belal/Rahvin toward the country's residents.
