Actually, the big problem with the fight for me is that apparently Sammael only puts up a fight because Fain injured Rand beforehand.

 

... I hate it when villains gain an edge due to luck :( I want them to be skillful and powerful and smart and all that...

I like it when villains are POWERFUL. I don't like them winning purely cuz something bad happened to the hero.

 

If Sammael could win against Rand in top condition, then he's a threat. If Rand had to be weakened in order for Sammy to be dangerous, then he just got lucky.

 

I don't like villains getting by on luck. I despise it.
