Sleep helps with healing, though.... I've heard that lying in a dark room isn't AS restful as sleep, but is better than sitting up with lights. It does help sometimes. =)

Definitely Percy Jackson. Totally love that guy. I LOVE LOVE LOVE every book with him in it.

Hmm....Artemis Fowl.

I haven't read those books in a while... and the Atlantis Complex was kinda...weird...

But Artemis grew SO much over the course of those books...and so did Holly Short, too. Well, all of them did, but still. Artemis is definitely someone I get emotionally invested in. And he's such a freaking genius, too.

Hmm...I'd say Sabriel, and Lirael...Sameth, kinda, but more so the first two. Those books...wow. So good.

And I always cry toward the end of the book Abhorsen...with the Dog.... *sniffles* Yeah, emotionally invested every time I read.

Prince Zuko, from Avatar: The Last Airbender. That boy...I totally feel for him. It takes a couple of episodes, but he really grows on you...I felt SO bad for him when he wanted to try and help Aang master firebending but everyone was so mean to him...I'd say he had the most character growth of EVERYone of the ENTIRE show. And when he was reunited with Iroh toward the end...totally bawled my eyes out.
