Well, I have to say it is surprising to be at L-1 for choosing not to react to Mynd's obvious poking. There is really nothing I can add to what I have said. My saying that he was bandwagoning was a joke. I was fully aware that there were only 2 votes at the time. Again, it was day 1 playfulness that Mynd has successfully turned into a reason to lynch. It seems the only way to live through the day is to reveal, so...I have a one time finder ability. I'll use it tonight now that it's out. I'll even understand if you want to lynch me tomorrow to test the truth of my reveal, but I dont think we should let this ability go to waste.

 

AeomnKristen was the first to reveal the one-shot powers. I doubted him because I too had a one-shot power, but as things progressed, with AlannaLynn's similar reveal, it became apparent that we all had them, typically either a Finder or Healer, and in Hybrid's case, a Vig.

 

AK, I assure you on my grandmother's mustache that I am innocent. I am assuming you are innocent and if you end up being scum then you have played a great game. The quote above has convinced me that you are innocent. If we are to win this game, we need to point our guns at others, and away from each other.

 

As far as me, remember that scum are not the only ones who play games and gambits. I'm notorious for leading the mafia astray, but facts are facts. There are only three players left un-checked: Verbal, ToynMin, and Aust. Of those three, there is one who sticks out the most in my latest reread in light of Wwwwwombat being scum. It's not who you might think either.

I've really struggled to try to make sense of all this and to make sure I'm not missing somehing or naively arriving at a conclusion. Here are my thoughts:

 

I believe Aemon to be innocent- for his reveal and for his finding of Song.

 

I am working on the premise that Mynd is innocent. We had a direct confirmation that he was innocent and that's the strongest evidence to go on right now. Mynd if you're town as I believe you to be you need to settle down and stop making it so hard to trust you. As for these things going bump in the night - there are other equally viable explanations for what they did besides thinking that they turned Mynd.

 

Alanna was likely innocent, and I believe Wombat was scum.

 

Right now I am most suspicious of Verbal... His idea to lynch himself to "find out what happens" was very scummy - it was a way for people to suddenly become quite suspicious of the idea to lynch him - clever but scummy. It's made me rethink his actions from be past couple days.

I agree mostly with that assessment, Mynd.

 

I must say, this is the most interesting role I've ever had. I can unmark someone every Night.

 

What is a mark you say? It is another way to kill someone the mafia has up their sleeve. Instead of killing someone, it marks them for death at endgame. From what Wes has told me, this could win them the game before we even knew it.

 

As far as I understand it, if there's 5 of us alive:

 

1 mafia

4 innocents, with 2 innocents Marked

 

The mafia would only need one(1) more innocent death to win.

 

I guess you could call the marked players Oblivious Walking Time-Bombs.

 

I don't know how many players they've marked, but it can't be more than 2, or they would have won. They already marked Mynd. I know because I removed that mark from him. This is why I believe he is Innocent. Though erratic, he's innocent and it would not benefit us to lynch him.

 

Since Aemon is unlikely guilty, this leaves Aust and Verbal as my only suspects.

 

It may be too much to hope that we have another Day ahead of us. I think this is do or die time.

 

I know this would seem out of nowhere, so I will await your queries and answer them to the best of my abilities. Hopefully we can work together to smoke out the scum among us.

AK, where do you get 1 undead player is animated by tentacles? I feel like you are jumping to a huge conclusion here, not just because I know I'm nothing of the sort nor am I scum, but even if you pointed the finger at someone else, I am having a hard time understanding this. Please show me what led you to believe this, or at least check your facts.....we cannot afford to make wild assumptions when one of the five of us is surely the last mafia standing.

 

We can't go off wild assumptions, only legit reasoning. TaM's reveal is a bit wild, but not necessarily untrue. What gives me pause is that this is the most TaM has done this entire game. Why now? Why all of a sudden? Why is this reveal necessary? TaM, were you one of the two players who targeted me the other night when I received my whisper?

Aemon, I don't think that Mynd has been animated by tentacles. I did a lot of thinking and looking at Mynd, and I even pm'd Wes to try to sort out some of my thoughts. My belief here is that Mynd was reported as innocent and we have had nothing to really conclude that he's been turned somehow. I think a lot of things have been going on in the nights - I think the tentacle was about something else - precicely what I do not know.

 

I also believe this is endgame. My three top suspects going into last night were Wombat, Verbal, and Toy. Wombat for reasons I've stated all along, Verbal for what I talked about today - Toy was more complex. He's played a very very clean game - perhaps too clean and this is what make me take a close look at him. The one little thing that I caught from him was a post back on day one where he sympathized with Song for how it feels to have your posts misunderstood - but that he did find her overraction suspicious (not trying to re-hash day 1, but I wanted to take a good re-read to see if I could catch anything). I can't read too much into that - it was a fairly mild post and back on day one to boot - but it was one tiny thing that caught my eye. Everything else has been sqeaky clean. Also, through elimination - I believed that you, Alanna, and Mynd were all likely innocent - that left those three among my suspects.

 

With Wombat dead, that leaves me with just Verbal and Toy. However, I find myself wanting to believe Toy's reveal - in part because Wes indicated to me that at endgame, things would really start moving fast - and this reveal sounds just very consistent with that.

 

So I suppose my point here is that I think we have to look beyond Mynd here - I believe you and he are innocent. After what Verbal pulled yesterday, he's the candidate with the most evidence against him. For someone as experienced as he is, he hasn't really led the town the way I'd have expected him to if he were innocent.

Not to bring up another WIFOM, but Song's communication with me stated that Kivam and Verbal were on her team. Obviously Kivam was not, and she was correct about Krak being innocent.....but do you suppose Verbal was actually on her team?

Sorry for the double post but I just thought of something else that makes me tend to belief Toy's reveal:

 

Why is Aemon still alive? If the scum couldn't recruit him, and I don't believe there is recruiting in the game - then why keep him around? Everyone basically accepted his innocence so it would be in their best interests to get rid of him (scum likes people guessing at who is innocent - confirmed innocents go against that). Not to mention that he might have had an ghost role after using his ability on night one. Toy's reveal makes sense then - if they thought they had made Aemon into a bomb, they'd keep him around until endgame.

Aemon: I understand the reluctance to believe someone at this point. We need to be careful. I don't expect you to jump behind me 100%, but I did expect you to be a little less reckless. Now is not the time to put your blinders on.

 

Mynd: I'll wait for everyone's reaction before I go into that just yet. Not avoiding, just waiting for something. If I'm right...well, you'll see.

That was moments ago.

 

A painful scream is torn from someone's throat. It's too harsh to tell who it's coming from...you back away, even though you can't see a thing, and bump into something...you scream, and the person you almost knocked over screams as well. But it is warm flesh, not tentacles, that you've grabbed.

 

The first and loudest scream is having no such luck.

I was actually going to post that I was going to drop the whole tentacle thing. Then I reread the bolded part. 5 players staring at each other. One of us is dead and infected.

In my mynd Mynd is the clearest lynch for today to avoid losing and when he flips scum we need to kill Toy.

I think we should strongly consider lynching Verbal in the morning. He has not been acting like a town player and has been defensive rather than investigative. He tries to discredit what is said and deflect rather than try to provide the town with any logical information. He even withheld info from us in order to see my lynch through, knowing that if he revealed any info it might be more convincing.

Everywhere. I'm not repeating myself for the umpteenth time. You are not reading my posts - this is obvious. I can't bother to keep saying the same thing over and over. I'm done with this line of thought.

 

 

Now, Austy-poo. Part of the reason I suggested lynching myself was to gauge reactions.....and part was really wondering if it would work. But you've all of a sudden exploded with many posts in a short period of time to do what I see as push the final lynch through. And you've chosen the one with the least to defend himself with. Typical scum move.

Verbal, you've wagged your finger at me with useless accusations, spooked because Songs named you as one of the two mafia on her team. Naturally, she lied about Kivam and was WIFOMing me about Krak. Unlike Kivam who simply dismissed my claim, you overreacted and you wanted me out of the game since Day 1, innocent or not. Your overreaction, ironically, makes you seem more innocent because, had you been mafia, you would have been in on Song's gambit. You have been acting irrationally and not like a good scum hunter, but you are typically more careful when you have something to lose. My final analysis is that you are innocent yet freaked out over Song's WIFOM message to me.

 

Aemon Kristen - you seem so hell bent on forcing your wild theory into reality, that you continue to ignore the blatant facts before you. "He said tentacles!!! See that? So Mynd is Mafia!" Now, point to where he said an UNDEAD player....oh wait, he didn't. Please for the sake of the town, put your wild theory aside for just a moment and look at the situation objectively. The one fact that has me writing you off as a misguided innocent is that you were the first to reveal your one-shot power. You couldn't have known this as mafia. That proves your innocence....at least on that day. If it is possible that you are under tentacle control, then its possible I am as well...however, that doesn't discount that the game likely started with three mafia, leaving one original mafia in the game.....and that player is not you or I.

 

Aust, you have been a class act scum hunter from Day 1. Posting your own ideas with evidence to back it up. No wild accusations or ranting arguments, just calm discussion about what the next move for the town is. If you turn out to be mafia, then I salute you for playing a great game.

When you believe the others to be innocent, whoever is left must be scum! Reading back at your posts, you kept a low profile, not committing to much either way, like a good scum player should. It's your recent reveal that clinches it for me. All of our one-shot powers were basic (finder, healer, vigilante) but yours was 1) not a one shot and 2) unique to this game. I call bullshanks!

 

I believe you actually HAVE the power to attach people, this explains the multiple casualties in this game with one lynch or kill. Any one of us is likely attached; however, the only way to kill the monster is to lop off its head.

Now that I think of it, that's a pretty good play, Mynd. Kill the original mafia so he takes someone down with him and leaves you looking pretty good to the remaining townies.

Now that everyone has gathered, I will answer the questions you posed Mynd. Do not be so hasty.

 

First, Mynd, i believe you wanted to know why the reveal was necessary. To save your life of course. I also don't see us living past this Day if we don't get the mafia so, I thought my reveal prudent.

 

Second, was I one of the two to target you that night? No. That was Night 2, and I had targeted myself to see if I had been marked. I had not. In fact, it was your comment on being targeted by 2 players that made me believe you had been marked. This turned out to be true for I removed it that Night (3).

 

Damn straight I've been keeping a low profile. Last thing I wanted was to be NK'd. This is a ghost role that was activated Day 2. I don't know what triggered it, but I assume it was a mark on Night 1. Which is why I'm sure there's one more marked player among us along with the mafia.]

 

As for a 1 shot ability, I did have one. Until last night, in fact. Wonder what I found out? Or have you already fit my neck for the noose?
